Brentford (H) | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Speaks out of his arse mostly, if ever you were able to mute the pundit, he'd be first on my list.

At least he didn't mention the possible sending off of Khusanov though......
Haha. He couldn’t wait to say it should have been a red. Predictable

Lady Luck smiled on us early on because I think Khusanov should have walked but after that he played very well.

Perfect evening really. Well done Blues.
He had a great game against their fastest player. He’s fast & strong. We need a warrior

Good stuff all round from the players and management.

Perfect amount of rotation with the predetermined changes on 62 mins.

Cherki and Foden looking really good together and will hopefully see us through the period we are without Doku.

Both Nicos great, thought Khus was fantastic as he grew into the game. Savinho looked decent at times and even Rico (who I don't rate) had a solid game.

Still don't see it with Reijnders. He made a couple of good through balls but not worth the general lack of impact, regular loss of possession you get with him.

A full week's rest for Haaland and Dias, and plenty of rest for Nunes, Gvardiol and Bernardo could be invaluable for the upcoming games.

All very positive

Absolutely loving the rondo tactic we’ve got going on recently on the wings. Quick, short, effective passing in boxes to draw teams in and beat their press. Opens up space for the last player to move into.

Also enjoying Cherki perfecting the Cryuff pass - no matter the distance or weight of execution. Same with Foden.

I asked this before in the matchday thread, but I'll ask it again now the match is over.

Do you prefer the flashy/ "tekky" side of this youthful City team or prefer it to be more pragmatic/ basic in the game?
We can do both tbf
