I agree with you completely, but I was basing my comments on blue mates and collegaues who said that they couldn't be arsed going last night for the reasons I stated. The club needs to do LOTS more on tickets, but many fans also need to support their team better, it's easy to blame the club for everything, but I know people who probably wouldn't go to a game if the club sent them a free ticketYou can't just lower the prices for a couple of unattractive cup games and expect priced out fans to come flooding back.
Winning back priced out fans should be a long campaign of fair pricing, across the board, not just the odd game here or there.

Thanks for some common sense. The club is totally correct to focus on the next generation of fans. I have been a fan for more than 60 years. We have a front four of Cherki, Doku, Foden, and Haaland….arguably the best in the world. We are competing for four trophies. Some of our fans are turning into scousers by playing the victim card. They seem to revel in it.The old guard should have been gradually replaced by the new generation and I think that has partly happened as attendances are up a lot compared to years ago. However, mistakes have been made by the club who have concentrated on Corporate for obvious reasons. Not easy to get the right balance.
In terms of the size of the stadium it’s a tricky one. If we had gone for the Everton model we could have a packed 40,000 every week but the club’s ambitions are a lot bigger than that. We will see if they are right.

42k is a massive crowd. We probably sold more tickets than that as well. Club is on the crest of a wave. I wentt for 58 years man and boy, now due to ill health I can only get to a few games the club made the decision fans could only transfer to Members, it's £35 for a membership, I'd be lucky to get to 3 games a season but, the truth is I am not paying £35 for the right to buy a ticket for a game.
I'm not priced out by not being able to afford it I'm just not prepared to pay it, it's a rip off. The more difficult they make it the more people they will put off.
Loads of Blues were giving away free tickets for last night and I don’t think you needed to have a paid membership either.

Winning stuff is new to the Newcastle fans, it’s still exciting like when it was to us nearly 15 years ago. The 7.30 ko doesn’t help either, you’re battling some of the most crowded roads at rush hour in the country. I enjoyed the game eventually but have started to limit the number of evening games now as it’s just a pain in the arse.And 7 other clubs average over 50000 and we are the most successful club in the country over the last decade. I remember the days when all evening ko's were 7.30pm.
Then they moved to 7.45pm and people moaned, and when they moved it to 8.00pm, they moaned even louder, now when there is a 7.30pm, a time they didn't want it moved from , they moan it is too early.
I remember when vegetables were organic, then they added things and put the price up, then they started selling organic, with nothing added and they put the price up. I prefer vegetables with soil attached, but it is against health and safety. Don't get me started on fish and chip wrappings, can't read brown paper can you.;)

Total - 15,934
With the 8000 or so Exeter allocation, this would indicate around 28,000-29,000 of the home allocation have been sold. My guess is that we have around 20,000 fans on the FA Cup scheme
It goes on sale to all Cityzens matchday and junior members at 3pm so I'd expect a big surge in sales then

Are you sure those "unavailable" seats haven't already been sold? What block is it?Just tried to buy additional Exeter seats in my block - a lot not available.
Restricting the availability from the off is madness if promoting to purchase additional tickets.
New shoes and coat might help.First time I haven't been in the domestic cup schemes and I didn't miss the drive over from the coast in busy & wet conditions, the 1 1/2 mile walk from parking, probably getting wet feet from all the water as well as it getting through my coat, returning the process to get home by around 23.30.
I'd decided I've had it with Wembley so no need to piss about at this time of year, if we get the right draw I'll go otherwise league games only now...it's a slow letting go process.

If you've been out on that walk in that sort of weather, nothing keeps the rain out and being in 315 there's no way I'd get a brolly inside, sitting moist (oo-er) for 90+ minutes is also not particularly attractive.New shoes and coat might help.
