Enzo Maresca "high among candidates" to replace Guardiola if he leaves next summer

Can't read the article as I'm not subscribed, does it mention any other potential candidates?

Maresca is an interesting one. Wouldn't consider him a strong candidate based solely on his work at Chelsea, but then it's not a club known for being a stable environment. The hierarchy at City will obviously have a view on him and his potential, based on his time at the club.

Fuck that. Don't think he's shown much to say he'd be up to the job.

Hard to judge at Chelsea, I'll grant that.

Yeah, that was my first thought; what are the other names mentioned?

In football terms is next summer 2026 or 2027?

I'm assuming Ornstein means 2027 as otherwise he'd have used the end of the season.

As it is, I expect all things being equal for Pep to do another 2/3 seasons after this one. The only caveat is things like personal reasons.
Yeah, I'd be very surprised if Pep left before the end of his current contract (2027).

Not surprising. Been at the club and doing quite well at Chelsea in my opinion.

If Pep goes at the end of this season then he would make sense given his unrest at Chelsea, if Pep stays until the end of his deal then maybe makes Kompany a bit more likely.
