45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

Not played for ages and he seems like a puppy who gets all excited when he first goes out to play and he invariably does something rash. However, once he gets the pace of the game, like he did in the second half, he's arguably our best defender, certainly one on one.

He's one of those that would benefit from playing every week but in reality that's not going to happen, unless Dias or Gvardiol get injured, so I think we'll have to accept the impetuousness until it disappears, when he plays more or matures as a player.

Glad he got game time in the middle. He's much better there as he's very adept at cleaning up as last man (when he's on a yellow and being careful). Got a good sense of where the danger is. I really like him. Has a lot to learn still but has got the attributes to be a beast of a defender alongside a silky CB.

Let the other guy do the build up and let Khusanov do the clean up.

I'm excited to see how Reis develops in that regard.

Thought he came on to a really good game and used his pace to get us out of bother a couple of times.
It’s not as if Dias and Guardiol don’t make mistakes either. They do in most games.

Completely agree mate and I think Khus would be as good as either if he got a run but just don't think it's going to happen! He's the opposite to Josko for me, who I often think stands off too much but Khus has a habit of flying in. Mix them together, I think you'd have the perfect defender!!

Would be good to loan him to a good PL side like Palace or Bournemouth so he could play regularly and get all the mistakes out of his game for someone else before coming back here.

I think he could be really good but needs more experience in this league.

Again the Brentford player controlled that ball more towards the corner flag than the goal, a yellow was the right call.
Whether it was the right call or not was pretty marginal and not really the issue. Another game, another brainless lunge was the issue. And for the avoidance of doubt, I love the guy. He just needs to think a bit more!

Tbh the best thing for him would be to start against the Hammers, he needs some games although I'm sure Pep will revert to Dias

Summerville is rapid and hard to stop, hell be a good challenge for Nunes/Khusanov on their flank....and Bowen is a nightmare for anyone
