West Ham United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

4 pages on here as well, it’d be 40 now if we’d got beat
7 straight wins in all competitions.

The moaners, rags and wums are running out of ammunition and have crawled back under their rocks for a miserable xmas.

Happy days

Decent 1s half at times but the 2nd half, usual slow start and could have conceded before we got our 3rd. Might seem churlish I know but better teams than WHU may punish us for some of the poor passing in the 2nd half.
Nunes was good again, even when he moved into midfield he was still driving us forward.
Some nice touches 2nd half from Lewis although should have squared it to Haaland later on.
3 subs at once usually makes me nervous but today, it worked big time.
Some decent stuff at times from Reijnders and of course he scored, certainly been better in the last few games which is good to see.

I was thinking the same thing and. A better team in second half could have made this a nervy game.

Good result, but sad I couldn’t watch it. Seems like we deserved to win but West Ham troubled us in the second half until a slightly fortunate third goal. Bring back Rodri.

We were trying to do "just enough" for large periods of the Second Half and I can't think of a single PL defender more one footed than O'Reilly (and yes I know that he's really a midfielder)

However the three substitutes all hit the ground running and how refreshing that the opposition aren't scoring anymore from their one shot on goal.

That was a solid routine win that we've seen from prior title winning sides. Has to be caveated by saying WHU were really, really poor and we didnt have to get out of second gear but job done and we move on. Entering that phase now where we need to just quietly put a long run of results in to really put the squeeze on arsenal and see what they're made of.

Terrific run - pretty fine margins in a few of the matches, but it never felt like the win was at risk today, not even during the scrappy period early 2H.

I'm still not sure how we are there, but the table doesn't lie.

Credit where it's due - Nunes has come on leaps and bounds. Still makes me nervous when he's in and around our area, but I don't hold my breath every time he's on the ball, any more.

I'd still have Khus at RB ahead of him, but Nunes is a different player to last season.

Well done City sounded a dominant performance, sky and BBC wankers gutted. City coming for the lambrini twats!
