Will we win the league this season?

Trips to Clanfield, Spuds, Chavski and the rag vermin will define our season.

7 points from them tops - will mean we HAVE to beat the Tarquins at our gaff. Having said that, they ain't all that.

I'm going for a straight shoot out between us and Villa last match of the season.

For the first period this season, I actually think we're the best team in the league now and potentially capable of winning it.

Arsenal were incredibly fortunate to win tonight, it's taken another set piece, penalty this time and also a huge amount of 'luck' for VAR to not give Everton a penalty.
That was definitely a penalty for Everton. Arsenal got lucky.

You could see the coaches celebrating like they’d just won a cup final at the end. They will have to overcome their shit mentality to win the league.

A great result for Arsenal but not a very good performance. Everton were without N'Diaye and as you say that was a penalty. Arsenal were very lucky that they didn't give it.

Every pundit bangs on about City are an injury to Haaland away from disaster. Take Rice out of that tarquin team and they are fucked. As big to them as losing Rodders was for us. Delicious karma if it happens against us.

Two own goals and a pen to beat Wolves and Everton. If that was us we'd be getting slaughtered.

Very confident we'll beat Villa to the title.

The PL won't allow us to win it, and the decisions we have seen so far this season from the referees are pretty much proof in the pudding to this.

As a brand they need Arsenal to win it, and next year they will want a Chelsea or United to win it.

They can't have us dominating again.

I am expecting a few dodgy decisions going against us in the next few weeks because we are getting way too good for everybody's liking at the moment.

Two players short, IMHO. One of those is Rodri; he changes everything, and would likely see us win it. I think we need another option, because Reijnders isn't doing it. Tidy finish today, sure, but he's not enough, by a long way. I wouldn't be averse to another wide option. Savinho is desperate.

Those games won't define our season any more than four other randomly chosen games will

No chance Villa win the title, they'll struggle for top 4

If you’ve got the best striker in the world the best keeper in the world and the best midfielder in the world hopefully returning soon you’ve got every chance!
Coached by the best, two strong full backs getting better each game, foden and Cherki behind Haaland, an improved Doku causing mayhem and 4 back to back clean sheets. Yes I’d say we’re going to be up there fighting for it!

Arsenal never learn. They get too giddy, too early and come Easter will be crocked. You can set your watch by it.

Honestly can’t see us losing any of those. Maybe draws at Anfield & Stamford Bridge but I think we’ll win at Spurs & the swamp. That return will be more than enough to set us up to get over the line this season.

It’s a difficult one with Arsenal. They could be spluttering, or this could be a poor period of form where they grind results out before returning to their earlier season form.

And yes, they have form for choking but there is no immutable law that will continue forever. There was an assumption from various quarters about how the title would play out in 2012: united’s know how against City inevitably choking. And they were nearly right. But things shifted that season, for lots of reasons that weren’t apparent at the time. Nobody knew it but that united squad were at the start of an arc of serious decline.

So no City fan should assume that Arsenal will definitely choke. If you keep knocking things will fall for you eventually Like they did for Liverpool last season with Rodri getting injured. Unpredictable things happen in football. That’s one of the reasons we love it.

Think we’re absolutely in with a shout, and will almost certainly get top two, but we might just fall short. Think we’ve still got the odd bad performance in an important away game in us which might cost us.

Finishing top two and running Arsenal close will still be a positive season though, especially as I think we’ll do well in the cup competitions.
