AZ rumoured to be prepared to allow Smit to leave for 35 million, a club record.
Gray is a mediocre player who gets a pass because he’s playing for a crap team. He’s no better than Mukasa just more experienced. With spurs having another mediocre season and likely to be out of Europe next year, could we get Archie grey off them?
If getting both Anderson and Wharton is either too pricey or tricky, could grey be an alternative to one of them? Wharton and grey would bolster our midfield providing both cover at 8 and 6, esp cially with kovqcic and Bernardo on the way out. Grey can also rotate with and back up nunes.
Two of the three takes care of the homegrown concerns with stones and Ake leaving.
Not mediocre mate and will become a top player in a few years under a better coach but not at our level to make a difference yet and anyway j would imagine if Leeds stay which I think will he will maybe go back there.Gray is a mediocre player who gets a pass because he’s playing for a crap team. Much higher ceiling than some names touted on here and a veritable snip at that price. Of course, the usual choristers will trill ‘unproven, farmer’s league, not our standard, too young, too…’We need to get Smit!

Maybe you could tell me what you see in Archie Gray because I see a young player and that's about all. With spurs having another mediocre season and likely to be out of Europe next year, could we get Archie grey off them?
Too black and white for me.With spurs having another mediocre season and likely to be out of Europe next year, could we get Archie grey off them?

Don't see it with Gray. Smit on the other hand ......
I watched his comp highlights and I’m concerned about his physicality. He had time on the ball to do stuff which he probably wouldn’t get in the PL.Much higher ceiling than some names touted on here and a veritable snip at that price. He only turns 20 next month, so he would naturally take time to develop physically. However, what he has between his ears at this stage is arguably more important. He sees the bigger game and is also another player that is good with both feet, which buys time in a robust league. We’re in a position of strength already, so buying now gets a Bernardo-type understudy in early.I watched his comp highlights and I’m concerned about his physicality. I feel like he’s more of an attacking midfielder than a CM like Bernardo is nowHe only turns 20 next month, so he would naturally take time to develop physically.
