Game has become a lot tougher than it would have been 6 weeks ago. Still got to take the 3 points though, anything less isn't good enough as we have to pile yhe prrssure on Arsenal.

Important we keep our discipline, got 2 games to get through to avoid having our entire midfield suspended and unavailable. Cant see beyond the same team again.

Kick off time 12:30 GMT.

Looks like we've drawn the early kick off straw. A chance to got top for a couple of hours before Arsenal beat Brighton at home.

A full week off, which I think we need with the current state of the squad.

The first of 2 away games in a row. We play Sunderland away on the Thursday (NYD), 4 days later. All away games feel tricky at the moment.

They play Fulham (A) on Monday, so less rest than us. They've won 4 of their last 6 league games, so in a little bit of form.

Can't see us making any changes unless Doku or Rodri are back.

----------Donnarumma
Nunes--Dias--Gvardiol--O'Reilly
-------Bernardo--Nico
---Cherki--Foden--Reijnders
------------Haaland

Doku for Reijnders if he's back.
Saturday to Thursday is 4 days? Lol

I'd have the same 11 you've quoted.

Be a tough game for sure.

Trying to figure out if no Christmas home games is a positive or negative, as a mainly home match attending fan.

We've had a run of home games recently, probably too many for the pocket for some.

Whilst it's nice to catch up with mates and attend a home game over Christmas, from a personal point of view I'm not arsed we have no game.

Honestly though, I think Rags have had a word for homes games, to maximise takings in the shop.

Same as the number of tv games they are having this season!

I was half expecting to see fucking Fernandes rack up in the Jungle!

Pep / City have weighed the players. They will have3 days off this coming week but must watch their weight and they will be weighed when they come back into training. Anyone who is overweight will be dropped.

Exciting game, came into the season expecting us to be a cup team in transition.

I've now fully got the dreaded hope (dare I say expectation)

That we'll win the league. Every away game in the PL barring wolves is a difficult game these days but I think we just about do Forest.

For the first time in a long time we have a settled back 4. At the start of the season we kept getting caught out at the back due to lack of pace but out of absolutely nowhere Nunes and O'Reilly all of a sudden seem like the best fullbacks in world football.

I dont think most fans have appreciated Donnarumma may be one of the best signings in the club's history. We now officially have the best striker and GK in the world which we've never been able to say before.

Cherki, Foden and Reijnders are amongst the best attacking midfielders in world football.

Get Rodri back and I reckon we can win the CL.

Anyway, regarding Forest,
Forest 1 - 3 City

Donnarumma

Nunes
Dias
Gvardiol
O'Reilly

Nico
Silva
Reijnders

Cherki
Haaland
Foden

They wanted Sunday off but Pep had them in as he wasn’t satisfied with the performance against West Ham.

They now have 3 days off but will be back in on Christmas Day for the first of 2 days training before the Forest game.

I just love Pep.

Where have you heard this mate? I know they trained last Christmas Day but thought that was punishment for our awful form, didn’t think they usually did! Makes you glad your not a footballer :-)

You might, but I'm sure the players families don't.

Donnarumma after last years Christmas pasta, pizza and chips. Hope he’s more careful this year with Pep on the prowl with his scales.

BBC Web Site:

Guardiola said he had no problem with his squad's fitness or running, but they simply "have to play better".

"The players asked me to have tomorrow's [Sunday's] training session off and I said no, because they didn't play well enough," Guardiola said.

"So Sunday recovery, train the guys that didn't play, and after three days off they have two days to prepare for Nottingham Forest."

I forgot to add in the OP, Forest have Everton at home 55 hours later. That could be good for us as I can see them targeting that game. Doesn't mean they wont give us a game but might help.
