Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

Question please cos I honestly don’t know - I’m in the current tier 2 north stand with my two teenage sons - we’ve heard nothing from the club so I assume they are not moving us, is this correct? By the way we all sing and join in with every south stand chant, but very few around us do, so if the current tier 2 is the front of the new enlarged tier 2 it won’t be the loudest few rows of the new increased north stand

With 1894 posting about members relocating to the new North Stand tier 2.

When meeting the club, would it not be a suggestion to ask them to change their ideas about Tier 1 in the North Stand and deliver what they advised in the planning document, which was a safe standing in Tier 1 right behind the goal?

As you may have seen in the recent victory against Real Madrid, the most vocal fans in Madrid are behind the goal

It's hard to go into an existing section (That is not a singing section) and force people who've sat for decades to then stand in rail seats.

It's a much more sensible plan for the club to cram as many rail seats as possible into the new part of NSL2. They won't do it now (as seats are already in below the existing 3k rail seats), but it would have been a bigger statement if all 8k NEW seats were rail seats at the top of half of NSL2.

Unfortunately, we've ended up with a thin strip at the back and sides of seated fans.

I see the Stretford end have hundreds of flags now., do you think it enriches their voice ?
I haven't watched any of their games recently, so can't judge the noise they make. I've seen the photos of the Stretford End with their banners though and it definitely looks better than it was previously.

They removed a hospitality section to make the room in the stand.

I can't see City taking the atmosphere that seriously in all honesty.

Unfortunately I watch all the games(nerd) great equaliser by Zambia, by the way.
I couldn't watch from that stand it would drive me mad. Flags in my face, they don't make noise do they?
The Stretford End was never what it seemed, there was always seating at the back of the Stand, not many knew that.

I watched a fair few Derby matches from the Stretford End as a kid, as it was easier to get tickets in there.

I would be against that. If we make north stand level 1 safe standing, where do you move all people currently sitting there?

Also it’s small and limited. North stand level 2 is a huge steep tier, right under the roof with lots of rooms for tifos and up to 5,000 standing fans.

North stand level 2 is the ideal opportunity to create a proper home end

It’s not always about making noise though. Visually, flags, ticker tape and banners look great and helps to show off our fan culture. We used to do it years ago.

You only have to look at the middle tiers now. We used to have loads of great flags hanging down - we now have advertising digital flags, which look shite

I don't mind flags.
Just not waving in front of me during the game.
As one of the few who actually watch the full 97 minutes ,I want to keep it that way -:)

You should have heard before now and been invited to face meeting at City, last Monday, if you were affected mate.

They either don’t give a fuck or they just don’t get it mate. If it doesn’t enhance Soriano’s spreadsheet it’s not a priority.

Even Pep gesticulates at the Tunnel Club two or three times a season, completely oblivious to the fact that he’s trying to cajole the least invested group in the ground.

You're fine, they're not moving anyone in the upper tier.

New Displays

We are constantly investing in new displays and we are planning a Nevizade St theme for Galatasaray, the scene of course of our party in istanbul.

If you can help with donations, no mater how big or small please add here

Cheers (not going to help the atmosphere I’m afraid, a few great lads about who sing, but the majority are indeed sat on their hands. My boys wanna move to the south stand but I’m an FOC and can’t afford the higher prices away from the family stand

How did they communicate pal, to the registered email addresses?
I think so mate.

The lad I know whose affected couldn’t be there on Monday because he’s in the army.

In addition, If you are in an OSC Branch Kevin Parker asked for the names of Blues affected by the changes about a month ago so he could keep in contact on the matter.
