I really liked Pep's comments after the game.

It was partly a response to our second half performance, but Pep also thinking about the difficulty of the next three games (Forest and Sunderland away, and then Chelsea).

Each one of these games is a potential banana skin unless our players are 100% switched on, so his criticism of the performance (with a possibly pre-arranged critique of our captain), and him talking about the weight of the players, was really designed to switch them back on after Xmas.

He knows how critical, and tricky, these next three games are in relation to the title race.

The passion he feels for the club and the fans.....
You read between the lines of press conferences, where every question is a negative.....
I think we've got this geezer for ANOTHER contract extension.....and long may it continue. He'll want to see this rebuild through.

If we extend again, he'll be nearly 60.....Does he NEED another change.

He could outlast GPC's tenure at the swamp, and I'll be as happy as a dog with two dicks.
 
Really good from Pep today. Proactive in changing things at halftime. If there is anything to criticise the greatest manager on the planet for, it could be that he perhaps leaves things until they've gone pear shaped before changing it in a more reactive state but not today, he altered it at halftime and it opened up our attack. Savinho made a real impact when he came on and Ake was a good and needed extra bit of defensive reinforcement when he was introduced too. Everything right today.
