Be interesting to see the players reaction to Pep saying they were bad against West Ham and turning them down for a day off lol
I wonder what those posters who love to throw the expression 'fanny-wipes' at others who reflect upon the performance - and not just the result - think about this?

"But Pep - we kept a clean sheet, how dare you treat them like this?" :-)

Help an old boy out. I have a distinct memory of an away game at Forest, in the 80s and we won.

We sang ' five years, it's only taken five years' because we hadn't won an away game on a Saturday for...you guessed it, 5 years.

Is this accurate or have I made the 5 year thing up?

Bit wary of this one with it being an early kick off and straight after Christmas and them being a tricky team. Think this is a tricky one to overcome

Dont doubt we can do it at all. Just a fair bit less confident than I have been of late. Feels like a potential banana skin

But gotta back erling, phil and cherki. And have faith we will keep the door shut with what is becoming a reliable back 4 and the Don in net. 2 nil or 2-1 City

We beat Forest at their place in 1985 (2-0) ... and we won there again in 1990 (3-1) ..... we didn't win at Forest again during that decade , even though we beat them a few times at Maine Road ....... so i think you must be referring to one of those two games ....... but keeping track of any other away game, at any ground, that we won during that 80s/90s decade would take a fair bit of research, we certainly weren't consistent on our travels during the 70s or 80s, aside from possibly 76/77 season where we finished as runners up ....... we also suffered a number of relegations during the 80s and 90s.

Is Semenyo fit?
Well he played and scored (67th minte) in Bournemouths 1-1 draw with Burnley on 20th Dec, and its only the 24th now ... so unless he got injured towards the end of that game, or in training since, i don't see how he can be unfit

It doesn't look like he got taken off or subsituted for any reason.

And he hasn't gone to AFCON because Ghana didn't qualify.

Yeah, when they beat us 1-0 last season, I think that was an early kick off too .... we seem half asleep in most of them !

Forest have improved under Dyche, but are still inconsistent. This is the sort of game we should win if we have title aspirations, even with several missing.
Ok, blues, roll the Dyche.
Forest 1:City 3.
PS NINE games coming up in Jan. Madness. Welcome to the House of Fun.
