10 | Rayan Cherki - 2025/26

If we are honest, he was fairly crap for 89 minutes of that game but special players make the difference when the team and they're having poor games, foden does it, cherki is rapidly adding his name to that list.
more to do with our phisically weak midfield. thought he was fine. some neat passes, didnt give the ball away unnesessary.

good game by cherki. difference maker

Like KdB, he makes all of our best chances.

He missed all 4 of his crosses but still has 0.81xA (insanely high) for direct chance creation.

I wouldn’t call it crap. Besides the assist, he created at least two more great chances. Sure, he had some poor passes, but even KDB doesn’t play a wonder pass every time, so that’s normal. He’s still developing and you can see him improving game by game.

Brilliant goal and assist, but he needs to start working a bit harder off the ball. He was far too casual, letting Hudson Odoi put the ball into the box and tracking back on their goal.

Hello there, you all start liking our wee Rayan, don't you? I'm happy to see that he can play the football he enjoys so much even in the toughest of the tough leagues. Two years ago, we all were doubting that he could ever make it at high level or not despite all his talent. He turned things around alright. I reckon that Lacazette and Tolisso deserve some credit about it. Have fun, mes amis!

Unreal footballer, and will only get better.

I think he is Ballon d'Or potential.

This league is very hard im happy for my team.

The post match interview had me in stitches. Poor interviewer thought he could speak English well from his first answer and he just kept repeating it no matter the question.

Imagine how good he'll be when he can speak to the rest of the team fluently.

a generational talent, who could go one way or the other depending on manager

Pep more controled ways along with freedom to express could make him Maradona, Eusebio, Pele, Grincha, messi/ronldo level exceptional

Not having a particularly good game, then he ambles in with an assist and goal to steal the show.

Having two players on the same wavelength (with Phil) is so important.

Undroppable - so expect to see him on the bench at Sunderland, then :-)
