So our best defender -Khusanov, Most experienced - Dias, most talented, Gvardiol. He'll have to beat 2 or those 3 to start consistently.
I'm sure he backs himself. But the cleaner and clearer path is Liverpool. He simply replaces Konate who is going to Madrid.

Seriously, Gvardiol is currently the next name on the teamsheet after Erling followed by Dias - who doesn't seem to be getter any better btw. Guehi would clearly be his replacement. Pep's old 4 CB line up has now been modified by the inclusion of converted midfielders as fullbacks - Khusanov is very good CB plain and simple.

Dias and Gvardiol will suffer a loss of form. All players do. And then the other guys will become the most important ones.

I get people who think we need a better CB than Dias (who is good but not amongst the very best), but calling him rubbish is stupid.

Can you share these stats?I noticed this season that we're second in the league for winning aerial duels. Checked out Dias, and apart from Haaland, nobody else at City comes close to his record this year.
On topic, Marc Guehi's record in aerial duels IS a lot better than anyone at City this season.
