The Labour Government

It helps I think don’t you or is hearsay good enough for you?

If it is, no issue but as I said, I’d be less inclined to listen to your claims of there must be more to this than we know because it seemingly doesn’t matter to you when it suits.

In fact, there is more, his own tweets and abhorrent views for which he has suddenly apologised.

The question is, did intelligence tell both Tory and now this government about those tweets and if not, why and if yes, wtf are we doing campaigning for his release and then welcoming him here?
Farage admitting his “ banter” isn’t hearsay.
As for this fella, my point was why would successive governments entertain him, which I admit predicates them knowing about his tweets beforehand.

It absolutely is imo.

It will only be a political one that affects this and the previous government if the security services shows they made both aware.
It’s the same as the Begum issue. Both governments should have just left the security services to do their job.

It’s gold dust for opposition parties to use, which both governments should have flat batted back saying they trust MI5/6 to do their jobs in accordance with the law.

Given the obvious bias that political opponents will attach to cases like those, it’s probably best practice that under security cover, we don’t hear about them tbh.

As you say, let our security services do their work and advise accordingly.

Vocal? The guy wasn’t being vocal he was openly calling for people to be killed. What Farage has to do with anything I don’t know.
Farage apparently called for the gassing of Jews.

If you can somehow plot a circuitous and tangential path, you’ll see how this is linked to people questioning whether we should allow an avowed Islamist, terrorist-supporting Jihadist into the country.

I’m just waiting for someone to ask why we’re not questioning how Rudolph Hess was allowed to parachute into Scotland.

Your only issue with that is that it’s hearsay and not actual written evidence unlike with this bloke.

You seemingly want the truth and for everyone not to jump to conclusions regarding this yet you fail to live up to that same standard yourself?
Physician heal thyself.

The optics around this are absolutely horrendous. Starmer initially said he was "delighted" and that the release had been a "top priority" for the Government since 2024. For a man who called British people "dogs and monkeys" and said violence against Police was fine. Oh, and apparently "white people are a blight on the earth."

He should never have been given citizenship and that's on the Tories. It's a complete shitshow from all concerned. And whoever has been advising either Government on this needs sacking.

I'm starting to think Starmer isn't the leader Labour needs or wants. He's tone deaf on far too many issues.
I know folk will try and put forward he's been useless from the start but I think 12/18 months or so is enough time to make a more rounded judgement.

I agree, and I was hoping for much more from him. It's just one thing after another now.

The members didn't want him.

Be interesting to see how his complicit NEC rig any potential leadership election after the Local elections.

The purge of lefties continues within the party.

I don’t see how this relates to the Labour Party and its members or being tone deaf. It’s an error made for the right reasons

It's bad optics like a few other things since he came into power. I've no intention of giving them a free pass just because they aren't as bad as the last mob of useless cunts.
