Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

A Meaingless list

Ake doesnt have a release clause that ends on the 10th so not intrinsacally conected to Semenyo deal & I thought that the Netherlands manager has told Ake that he needs game time to make the world cup, his last, so the idea of one last big contract is probably not his biggest motivation

We will see him at Bournmouth then.

On a 50 % wage reduction.

When he could have gone to West Ham on a bigger salary. Fair play to Ake, not many so disinterested in providing for the family.

Something you don't :)

On a serious note, Savinho at 19 was better than Marmoush at 24 (see the latter's stats before 24/25).

For the record, I like Marmoush. But the manager seems to rate Savio's potential higher. "I adore Savio" (Pep after Forest).
I think Pep realises Savinho has a fragile mentality and is impacted by criticism. Some need an arm round the shoulder, some a kick up the arse. I think Sav is certainly the former.

He won't be he will play in cup games the odd champions lge game and easy lge games. U have to remember he will have to learn to play the pep way before he is fully trusted. No way pep throws him in the first 11 straight away with the team settled and playing well and winning games.
Pep wouldnt be interested in signing him (with Viana) if he didnt think he could be an integral part of the squad. If he does well he'll become a regular starter like O'Reily, Nunes & Doku

Top 3 wingers in the league this season according to Whoscored which is based on their average rating this season

Doku
Saka
Semenyo

That's wrong, though. It's easy to see why Semenyo is likely to start at least once a week. Do the maths. Hint: the regular starters in attack can't play every 3-4 days till the end of the season. They'll be rotated.
Will he though? Pep is more likely to start Savinho over Semenyo. Unless there's another injury, he's a bench player.

How do you know he'll only play once a week
I don't know. But based on Pep's affinity for smaller squads and they way the team have been operating in attack lately, Semenyo fills the same role as Savinho: coming off the bench in the second half to give more width and a pacey counter attack. I haven't watched much of Bournemouth but Semenyo's style doesn't seem to fit the way City are currently playing

Hes not exactly going to starve is he Now stop being an idiot because my opinion is not the same as yours.

I never said he was nailed on to go to Bournemouth just that I could see why it might appeal to him

But he's obviously not going to. He'll get plenty of game time. People seem to forget that he's the third top scorer in the league this season, having scored more than all of our players other than Haaland. He gives you tactical flexibility in the same way that Savinho does, but with more threat going forward. In some games, you might have Reijnders, Foden and Cherki as your main attacking threats. In others, perhaps two of Foden, Reijnders and Cherki play a bit deeper, and Doku and Semenyo play as traditional wingers. Perhaps against tougher opponents in Europe, you'll value Semenyo's more physical game and defensive ability over Cherki's attacking flair.
Not saying you're wrong but that just isn't worth £65 million to me. I don't see him playing a lot of minutes and they have bigger needs right now
