Media discussion - 2025/26

Not sure why I bothered but my word ESPN FC with Gab and Juls has gone down the toilet.

City's win away at Forest = City have big problems defensively, Nico G is not good enough and there's a reliance on Haaland (who didn't score).

Semenyo = It's what City do and they can bench him like what they did with Khusanov and Marmoush down the line.

The coverage of City within the mainstream media is so utterly bizarre.

I hope all this noise is filed away for the return home game later this season and we give Dyche a lot of grief over it when they come to the Etihad.
If thats the game we should ask for audio in every game we play lets see how MSM would react to that.
I am unaware of any league game this season where wd havent been on the end of a poor desision.
Itmay make us look petty but fook em

You’re assuming he’ll still be there.
His petulant and dishonest response to the City goal has clearly been driven by his boss. Dyche has, yet again, made a fool of himself. He’s on the way out of Forest. What a fraud he is. Another moron who has stolen a living as a manager because he is backed by his media pals at every stage.

Strangely when dyche did post match interviews he for once didn’t mention money that we have spent on players unless I missed it,as for this complaint to pgmol well I’d say it’s by design from people behind the scenes to put pressure on the refs when our next run of fixtures come up,just like when the red scousers did with the van dyke disallowed goal, who then was on the end of some shocking decisions at Newcastle..

My own fault I suppose, but listened to The Athletic FC podcast preview show overnight, with Matt Davies-Adams, Carl Anka and another.
Was mostly understandably focused on Aston Villa and arsenal, but when they come to us, the usual words appear…

‘unfortunately’ we’re ‘looking dangerous’ and ‘looking ominous’, and it’s ’just not fair’ if we sign Semenyo.

Is it just me or does every media discussion about us by law have to include the word ominous? I genuinely don’t think I’ve noticed it used for other teams. Not generally used in a good way that word, is it? It’s almost as if the (not so mythical) what’s app group have agreed, right let’s make sure that word gets included in every City discussion.

Anyway, in summary, fuck ‘em!

ominous is a back handed compliment, when Pep has a City team close at the turn of the year it only means one thing. A historic 4 in a row, a treble, a domestic quadruple, 100 points. It’s achievements other teams haven’t done and what the press and public know can happen when City click into gear.

Agreed, and I appreciate that. But it was the “back-handed” part that was grinding my gears. It is the open dislike of us they are conveying by it, as if it’s a given for all supporters, and a lack of acknowledgement that some of their listeners might, just might, actually be City supporters.

Man City totally expunged from the British Cockroach Corporation Transfer Gossip - 5 scum links but just a couple of dipper ones today.

Isn’t the meaning of ominous that something bad is going to happen? They hate us. Each and every one of them. And we all know why

You’re spot on. The thick feckers probably don’t know exactly what the word ominous actually means means though with their GCSE grade D in English.

“giving the worrying impression that something bad is going to happen; threateningly inauspicious.”

Ominous always implies something unpleasant or threatening. By use of that word they are actually underlining their bias against City.

We must be playing well this season.
