Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

Hate to spoil the party blues but the font of all knowledge is saying that we have missed out and we all know much football knowledge top pundit ‘Merse’ has and how his previous judgement on new City players is impeccable !!

“Elite Prem star backed to snub Man City for Tottenham amid big Guardiola question -

Unbelievable Jeff !!!
I must have dreamt of Semenyo turning down Spurs brfore he agreed to sign for City

The big Guardiola question being whether he'll be here - unlike Tommy Frank who is nailed on forever lol

Semenyo--Haaland--Doku

I am looking forward to seeing this side (obviously with 5 defenders!)

Opposing managers are going to have nightmares working out how to stop it. Doku is used to playing against 2 men, but if a defence does that now, they will leave Semenyo 1 on 1. Semenyo is going to take defensive attention away from Doku and Haaland.
4 defenders

Why wouldn’t they play him?
There's no doubt Bournemouth want to play Semenyo tonight, I think it was Jack Gaughan who reported a few days ago that Bournemouth have asked Semenyo to hang around and play against Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham which would be before January 10th so maybe that will be the case.

Tonight will tell more as in how close the deal actually is if he's not in the squad for tonight's game.

It’s not the normal transfer though, it’s a release clause. They don’t particularly want to sell, so would probably risk an injury tonight as the worst case scenario means they get to keep him longer.

Would Semenyo want to risk the move by playing against Chelsea

Would Bournemouth risk having an unhappy player should he get injured and ruined the deal

If all terms agreed then he doesn’t play

But he is still contracted to play
