Will we win the league this season?

Let's hope we can run like that till the end of the season:

That’s the Pep Lijnders effect. He did the same thing at Liverpool, pushed the intensity and when the injuries piled up, they turned on him. I actually like what he’s added to us: extra dimensions in our style and attack. But to truly conquer with these new tools, we have to back it in the market.

There’s no way we can sustain this level of intensity for an entire season with a limited quality of depth in squad, and expect our campaign not to be derailed by injuries. That’s just unrealistic. If we’re serious, we should move decisively—bring in Anderson(even though unrealistic in Jan), Guehi, and Semenyo in the January window and go all in on every piece of silverware available.

Imperative we beat Sunderland, if we let the gap grow beyond a 1 game margin, all mounting pressure is relieved and it gives them the chance of an "easy" title.

Looking at the fixtures, we are going to need a phenomenal second half of the season to claim this title. Arsenal haven't got a lot of difficult fixtures left, I think they've played all the top 8 away from home already aside from us. Dippers are in a mess and wont trouble them when they play them at home in a week or so, likewise United won't at the end of next month, theres not many remaining hopes of dropped points after that.

We've still got to play 5 of the top 8 away from home yet plus going to Spurs which we struggle with, a much tougher set of fixtures. we'll certainly need to find a new gear or two.

Said all season I don’t think we are ready to win it and I still stand by that as we are work in progress and far to easy to play through and arsenal have built a good squad. Didn’t expect to even challenge so I happy with our progress but I think arsenal will pull away second half of season .

Game at a time for me, we have the more difficult fixtures second half of the season unfortunately. It’ll probably be the easiest T4 finish in quite some time though, think there’ll be a massive gap between top2 and the rest

That was a statement win from Arsenal tonight but there has definitely been some inconsistency to them over this period, just got to keep the pressure on.

Villa’s fake run comes to an end, the amount of luck they had, were always going to get found out eventually.

Unfortunately Arsenal aren’t going away. They’ve just had a mini performance blip and pretty much came through it unscathed. Arsenal will take the title fight to the end of the season. If City do, it will go down to April when the teams play each other and the remaining few games after that. I know it irks, but let’s give Arsenal some credit for a great result tonight against Villa, which puts the pressure back on City with a hard away game at Sunderland on New Years Day.

On the plus side, hearing the boos at OT after United turned yet another corner and scraped a point against bottom of the table Wolves was great.

Oh god here come the dramatics

Of course they are not going away we are just at the halfway point of the season. Things haven’t even warmed up yet

Have you never experienced a title race before? Arsenal could drop points in ANY match once we reach the business end of the season even moreso if we are there putting pressure on them.

I am still holding firm on there is not a chance we win the league this season. Although, I am becoming increasingly fragile. We still have so many flaws.
