Doku, Semenyo, Savinho will be the only true wingers in the squad. Good mix of roles and ages. Foden, Cherki, Reijnders will always largely play as attacking 8s.

See Semenyo more as us giving up on Bobb than anything else.

Curious where it leaves Marmoush. Seems like he's only really Haaland back up at this point.

Thats the problem with 2023-24 City, a few immensely strong players -Haaland, Mahrez, Walker, Rodri, De Bruyne.
Difficult to replace when injured / retiring, and even if you get a capable replacement, would he be willing to sit on the bench? Marmoush for instance would be a starter for every other club in the EPL.

Marmoush maybe but Savino is 21 he is staying and will be here at least another season! We didn’t give him a new improve contract to sell him!

Mahrez, Alvarez and Gabriel Jesus were smart enough to stay and win everything for a few years while playing about half the games.

Hard to know whether Marmoush will want to be the star man somewhere else or happy enough in that role here. I do think sometimes we could lose an 8 and have him as a 10 behind Haaland, just to get him out there in cup games.

He will never make it in the PL.

He is a decent player, like Antony is a decent player, but has to be playing at a mid-table team with lesser expectations and a league with less physicality.

He just isn't built for this league.

He did so well to get into the position to win the game and once again failed to deliver. I just don't know with him - at this level the difference between winning trophies and coming second is those kind of moments and I don't know if he will ever convince me he can be a match winner. We looked so much more potent once he went off and that tells you all you need to know.

Maybe he needs a loan if we get Semenyo because there is a great player in there but he just doesn't give the team any goal threat when he starts. Super sub at best.
