26 | Savinho - 2025/26

Baffled by the comments here.

Was one of our best in the first half. Yes, his end product needs work but far out he wasn't far off what you see from Doku some games.
Sorry mate I've seen enough, the sitter that he missed before he was forced off was the last straw, he's one of the worst finishers around and unlike Doku he doesn't create much either, sick and tired of his sunday league shooting.

You make it sound like a tap in. He's sprinted, then stretched to get onto a ball that bobbles just as he hits it. If he'd have scored it would have been a brilliant finish, it's hardly Sterling v Lyon.
Sterling was scoring 20 plus goals at the time mate, this guy has 1 goal in 43 league games, 1 fucking goal.

Got to score that, but haaland had to score his chance too. Finishing was poor but he did fantastically well to get into that position.

Went off at the wrong time, we had just started to use him and his pace behind looked the best threat we had. We played for 45 minutes after he went off injured but predictably, he's the reason we didnt win today to some.

Also while his finishing is generally woeful, it was a good shot and a very good save in the second half chance.

Microcosm of his City career in about 50 minutes there. Looked lively in the first half, missed two good chances in the second then went off injured.

Semenyos throw ins will get closer to the net than this lads shooting and crossing! , still havent given up on him and there are enough cup games etc for him to build on some promising moments.

Dont think him going off was the reason we looks more potent to be fair. Sunderland were tiring, and Rodri was being progressive with his passing than Nico.

Thought his second chance was unlucky, it was a really good save. First chance, has to be scoring. Ball was bouncing and he was running ful pelt, so it wasn't a tap in, but top level players should be putting it away.

I thought his technique was poor for the second because he seemed to hit it into the ground? Still a good save though amd not the worst effort in the world

Dont think he had a bad game at all though and was a decent threat, but as everyone can see he just cannot finish at all

Threatening but no joy in the net. Frustrating. But still think he’s playing better then he was, just a frustrating game from everyone but he wasnt our biggest problem tonight

He wasn't as bad as Haaland or Foden, difference is those two have scored countless important goals, they can get away with poor performances sometimes, this guy has 1 fucking league goal in over 40 games, and he misses another sitter, tonight would've been a superb time to finally score a crucial goal but he fucked it yet again, , you can say Doku doesn't score enough but he creates loads of chances, Savinho doesn't do that either, at some point it gets too much and you have to get rid.

Think he's been decent of late. Should have scored that first chance but otherwise played well.

Performance levels are much improved overall though, signs of a player in there.

Get rid and get what you can while there’s still some value to him. Lack of finishing is one thing, but this club shouldn’t be paying softies who stop playing to beg for fouls and have no fight in them.
Never plays to the whistle, just fucking stops expecting a foul.

He was shit tonight, terrible.

People think he played well, he missed our 2 best chances, had loads of opportunities to create a chance and didn't.

At least Foden and Haaland can say we weren't involved and we did nowt.

He was heavily involved, and did nowt.

Just sell him.

Not even in the same league as sterling . One goal in 43 games and people are still defending him . I don’t hate the player but we will not win nothing with him running the wings .

Haaland missed a very good chance, far easier than Savinho's second, which the goalkeeper saved well.

That aside, it's strange logic to simply prefer players not to be involved in a game over someone who gets himself into good positions but isn't clinical.

He has certainly had worse games and his overall performance was ok. However, his finishing is dog shit and is not good enough.
