It wasn’t a lack of effort from Foden - he was just shit. Erling on the other hand! He’s been like this for 4 or 5 games. Don’t get it. Utter pointless when he goes through these spells. But the best in the world when he’s in a good spell. So suppose we need to take the rough with the smooth

Commentary on my side of the pond was going on about how Phil was "taking control of the game" with 20 to go. I thought I was either dissociating, hallucinating or going into a Zen trance as I didn't see that at all and the Phil I saw looked like he was coming off a bender.

I'm still really torn about Erl. He rips it up at times and it's amazing and awesome... then he goes missing for stretches and sometimes- like today- he's a detriment and IMO we'd be better off false nining it. --- Then he scores a goal in the next match and i feel it's the recency effect as all's forgiven for another half dozen games- we win with other's contributions- until he's 100% invisible again against a better opponent (ala today), we drop points and the question comes up again. He's got to evolve his game and find a way to influence it when the goals aren't going in.

He's a beast... but his behavior of pouting and calling out non passes to him when he could be channeling his energy positively... especially when he's doing little else... maybe it's the incense in the monestary but he needs to drop the Zen pose celebration until he evolved as when it's not going his way... he's anything but Zen.

Savinho should not start another game for us, in fact we should sell him tmrw.

2 fucking guilt edge chances one after another, we looked much better when he went off.

Haaland and Foden had terrible games too.

Having said that we had enough chances to score several times.

4 points from 6 in away games isn't bad but tbh, Sunderland were crap so we should have won that.

4 minutes added on is cheating, the 3 red shirts get double that in those circumstances.

Absolutely, 30 seconds for each sub plus injury time should have been at least seven minutes.

Semenyo is exactly the type of player who could have won that game for us tonight .... aggressive players, like Sunderlands, aren't gonna bother him, he'll just steam right through them at pace, and he has the end product to make a difference.

This Loss is on the players. Pep can’t be blamed one bit. He could’ve played TJ after 70 mins but we had 5 chances to score and failed to convert. Players like Savio are the perfect examples as to why a team struggles to dominate. He will never make it here. Semenyo can’t come soon enough. Possibly the worst I’ve seen Haaland and Foden play today since they’ve been here outside last season. It’s no longer in our hands. It’s now going to take a miracle to win the league from here on out. Arsenal aren’t laying down neither is a team with EIGHT key players out, worst performance of the season. Not much to say but learn from it and move on.

Give the ball to Cherki more, stop playing players that don’t bring anything to the team and bring our quality down. For instance. Ake x Dias x Donnarumma is the worst combo i can think of, there is less than 0 build up play there, Bernardo doesn’t do anything besides run, when he can’t run anymore just take him out. TJ might be poor but he’s the only player that runs off the ball and who can see his runs and acc pass him the ball ? CHERKI. If Foden can’t do anything then bring on Rico because he has a good relationship with everyone especially Haaland. There’s small tweaks that can make a chain reaction.


All hope is not lost. But this was a significant setback.

Should have scored TWICE. Sitters. Still 1 goal in the PL. Doku different gravy as you could see when he came on. From what Ive seen on this thread it reinforces my opinion on Savino.

Clearly we aren't the best footballing team in the world to watch..... but we are coming from a long way back.
Thought we battled hard and the first half was even....

Second half..you murdered us, but we are getting the rather fantastic habit of staying in the game..and still being a threat.

Can't understand why you didn't test Cirkin more, he really struggled v Leeds.

That said, the chance at the start of the 2nd half changes the whole game if it goes in.

A fantastic point for us, and smiling at some of your comments of our fans celebrating like we've won the world cup...what do you honestly expect...think back to when you had been out of the top league for almost a decade...and you take on a big boy and get a result....

22 points out of 24 in our last eight games, and some people are writing us off. We’re still a work in progress, and I think Arsenal are rightly favourites for the title, but we’re having a really good season in the circumstances.

Reckon if we keep improving, get back a fit Rodri for the season and sign Semanyo we will take Arsenal to the line.

Player rotation and resting players is what missing at the moment. Games like tonight with Haaland Foden well off the mark is maybe down to playing every game. We need more attacking options and with Marmoush at the ACON and Doku. Bobb being injured the workload being asked is high on the big hitters

We are far from the finished article and the squad is weak in attack options, City and Pep need to clear out 3 or 4 players and having 4 keepers as well is wrong. For me we need 3 world-class players that can be game changers
