Will we win the league this season?

Arse's next 4 are tricky, ours too but there is a chance they can drop a few points.

They have,
Bournemouth Away
Dips Home
Forest Away
Rags Home (I know, but they have their number
If they don't we have to keep up.
Their last 7/8 fixtures of the season are very good. We need to catch up and go ahead of them in the next 2/3 months

Bournemouth away is the only game I can see them dropping points in this list.

Arsenal know how to win dirty this season; we lack physicality in the team. Also, we lose control for 20-25 minutes each game . Need to keep within 6 points going into the last 6-7 games.
Have you seen Arsenal's last 6/7 games of the season? They are all winnable games.

I would he more than happy if we come 2nd but win the CL. This season is one season too early for our team to win it with such a young team. We will run away with it next season but Arsenal are the best team this season I feel.
I fancy us for the CL. League is still very possible but I just feel we’ll do better in europe.

I firmly believe an English team will win the CL this year.

Only Bayern standout in Europe and I thought even they were made to look pretty ordinary by Arsenal considering how good they had been in the Bundesliga and CL up to that game.

Serie A looks as bad as I have ever seen it in regards to quality and La Liga for me is going through a transitional year where it looks similar as to where it was in 2007/8 where Madrid were not great under Juande Ramos and Barca were at the end cycle with Rijkaard.

Neither team look all round great.

PSG have struggled with inconsistency in performances all season and for them to win it again I just think they will need another Ballon d'Or level player to get them there.

I think we might do well in the CL this year, and weirdly enough I have a feeling Liverpool will cause a stir.

If you read most of the reasonable comments through this topic, most carry the condition that, "if Rodri makes a full recovery, then we will win the title." In time, we might look back on this game as a significant moment in the season. It might mark the return of a fit Rodri. At the moment, we need to see more of Rodri, but he did play a good 45 minutes. That is encouraging.

If Rodri can stay fit for the majority of the run-in, that's surely a huge positive for us.

I don't think we're good enough this season, personally. Arsenal 1/3 to win the league, so bookies seem to agree. I hope I'm wrong.
Their odds have shortened a bit following last night but not down to 1/3 level that I can see.
Clearly they are favourites and that has been the position with bookies for ages. Still, the implied probability for City is in 30%-35% range which is far higher than a few weeks ago.

This City side has been growing before our eyes this season. I am disappointed with the Sunderland result, but perhaps more significantly Rodri returned and put in an encouraging performance.

I thought it was equally as encouraging that he was ready to come on after 20 minutes once Nico picked up the injury.

I know there weren't many other options on the bench, but there's not a prayer he would have started warming up unless he could have seen the game through.

Would still like to see someone mobile alongside him (Anderson?) as I dont think Nico is the answer, I see him more of a debutant for Rodri tbh.

I think Nico was just a knock so I imagine he will be fit for Chelsea and we will likely see Rodri get another 30 minutes depending on how the game is going.

Yes, that's been our Achilles heel this first half of the season. A repeat of it over the second half, with possibly tougher fixtures, will probably see us fall short.
It is a good moment to reflect on the first half of the season, and to think about the future. I believe we are a side in development. After each transfer window we have asked whether this group is ready to challenge for the title, and views differed. It is clear that City are title-challengers. We are progressing, so it is wrong to translate the first 19 games to the second 19 games. This City side is stronger than the one that started the season.

I think better now of Foden, Cherki, Nunes, Doku, O'Reilly than I did at the start of the season. We may be about to add Semenyo to a side that has never adequately replaced Mahrez, and Semenyo is capable of Mahrez like end-product. City's best player is Rodri, and he has been out for a year, and now we might be hopeful that he is on his way back.

It should be completely obvious that Arsenal are a mature football team who have slowly developed season by season under Arteta. Nothing they do is a surprise. We know this side well. We know it has strength and depth but it also has faults. It should also be obvious that Pep is re-building City. It is more difficult to understand City's potential because it is changing.

Considering last season, I think most would have snapped your hand off being only 4 points off top on new years day.

I think we can't let the gap get any wider though. Not sure we have the team overturn a bigger points gap these days but 4 is doable.

Still not sure because we don’t control games like we used to Arsenal do! If Rodri stays fit we could get more control back but last night it was all about not putting the ball in the net with the chances we had..
