Uprising in Iran

To be fair might not be a bad thing for the people of Iran if the current regime falls.
Agree with that.

However, it depends on what replaces it.

Zionists demanding more countries to annex and Bibi/Trump happy to do it.

Also be interesting to see Russia's angle on it with Iran being a geopolitical partner.

Don't think the Zionists in Israel have the where with all to think about annexing Iran who evers in charge. The present Iranian regimes pretty grim especially if you're female, holding the country in the dark ages its time for them to progress.

I think they have bigger things to worry about that what is going on in Iran.
There is an interesting misalignment of interest here. Israel are very much extreme anti Iran and Russia are pro Iran. Trump appears to be supportive of and supported by both. He's come out as very much aligned with Israel on this.

Not good for Russian interests in the region.

I'm no fan of the regime in charge.

You see all the historical photographs of how progressive it was until the UK/US decided to fuck about with them.

Imperialism can do one.

This is not really a uprising but the zionists doing their utmost with America to destabilise Iran. They did not succeed militarily now using their next approach. When will these western puppets stop meddling at the behest of the zionists.

Quicker Iran gets the n bomb all this stops.

All we need is now for China to sail into Taiwan.

Do you have proof it’s zionists and Israel behind this?

It always the fault of those pesky Jews isn't it. Amazing they find the time between controlling the world's banks and media, most governments and organising mass immigration.

And the site owner wonders why I get so angry with him and his moderating team over both the blatant and latent antisemitism on here.

Maybe the Iranian people, a well-educated and modern group of people, are fed up with being governed by a medieval theocracy that oppresses them relentlessly and ruthlessly, runs an economy suffering from hyper-inflation and is more worried about spending a fortune on acquiring nuclear weapons and fomenting terrorism across the Middle East and the rest of the world than giving them a decent standard of living? Just a thought.

Not sure in that.

It’s been ruled by forceful religion since 1980. The power vacuum created when/if it collapses will ignite multiple internal factions, vying for revenge/bigger pieces of pie.
And then there’s the external factions, you could see US Trump going gung-ho for the oil.

My only hope would be your statement of ‘relatively developed and educated’ - if a set of moderate progressive leaders can come from that, get the backing of the non-religious army/militia, then there’s a chance… but there’s been precious few peaceful and successful (longterm) regime changes from autocratic bases.
Hopefully it is a secular-progressive regime change. As you say there aren’t many examples where that’s happened, but Iran has one of the most secular and non-Muslim populations in the Muslim world.

My Iranian mate does come from a family with a Muslim background but, while he doesn’t go as far to say he’s an atheist, he does say he doesn’t follow a religion.

You can be critical of Israel PB without being antisemitic. Reading that post I’d say it was highly critical of Israel and the US but not antisemitism. That said, if a poster thinks it’s a sane idea for Iran to have the capacity to launch nuclear weapon I’d say they’re beyond rational debate.
