Antoine Semenyo | Medical at City Thursday - Sky (p230)

Why ?

If it were me, why would I risk a once-in-a-lifetime move knowing anything could happen when my mind is not 100% on the game. Arsenal will beat Bournemouth with or without him anyway
It’s Russian roulette

If the lad wants the move why would he risk it

Would he also be motivated for it

Very strange

Perhaps we believe he makes the chances of Arsenal losing greater. If they do lose, you’ll be back on saying that it was a masterstroke.

My guess is, nothing to do with whether he plays against Arsenal. We just want to get the best deal for us and take the time it takes. Even if he had medical and signed today I doubt he’d have been involved against Chelsea,so better use the weekend to get the best deal.Might be on the bench against Brighton.

Yeah, could be we save money or get a better payment plan if we sign him on the 10th. We might be waiting on Bobb making a decision to go there etc.

My guess is Exeter being his first start.

That's the beauty of Bluemoon mate. One day he was shit because his head wasn't in it and he wouldn't want to risk injury and the next day he will give Bournemouth a better chance of winning.

Maybe he wants to play his last ever home game against Arsenal in front of the Bournemouth fans to say a proper goodbye to them?

Blah blah blah
Do you know the details of the release clause?
Do you know the intricacies of the personal terms?

It’s almost as if there is a clause in place that means Semenyo can be sold by the 10th of January, meaning Bournemouth have time to find a replacement.

It might be that we save 5m by delaying the transfer.

It might be that we want him to score the winner against Arsenal.

Who knows? It doesn’t seem bizarre to me.

Still, it stops you worrying about our next transfer.

Maybe the contract does state payment of release on the 10th Jan. The player and club won’t decide to break contract putting both camps in an unnecessary position. City won’t want to pay extra wages either until 1 player leaves.

The matches in between his release is really not important. The risk is the risk for all parties. Financial and sporting.

All maybe done but waiting on legal. Now where have we seen that drag on before?

It’s no different to “I can’t believe the 115 decision hasn’t been made yet”.

Lack of patience and a lack of knowledge as to how these things work.

Oh, I’m a tier 27 source and when I asked about when the FFP case would be published, he said after Semenyo may or may not have signed for us.

Make of this what you will.
