America Bombs Venezuela

Wiki can sometimes be misleading unfortunately, World Oil prices are extremely low at the moment and while Venezuela has vast reserves it's oil is of very poor quality and fetches even lowers price per barrel hence its low production rates. The USA for example produces 13 times as much oil as Venezuela does.

Thats because all major oil companies have been kicked out of Venezuela. There is a severe lack of knowledge and expertise and the infrastructure has been decimated.

Fucking “simples”? Who actually says that.

And there is no “alliance against Russia”, it’s a defensive alliance where all come to the aid of the one that is invaded. If Russia does not invade any of the countries near them then they have fuck all to worry about. Stop being so fucking thick.
"defensive alliance "
That expanded all the way to Russia in the 90s and early 2000s when Russia didn't have any military to speak of.

"If Russia does not invade any of the countries"
Which countries did Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Venezuela invade?
You are the one who is being intentionally thick.

Do you think the US would be fine with a "defensive alliance" between China and Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela?

2) Why was Maduro even sleeping in the Presidential Palace? Especially after the attack on the harbour a few days ago! Did no-one in his proximity see this happening?
Probably thought it was the safest place to be!

Was he supposed to go into hiding, because that doesn’t exactly scream “strong man!”

We'll have to see how it works out for the Venezuelans the guy they had in charge wasn't exactly Mr nice guy and living standards have dropped through the floor.
I do not for one minute think Maduro was any good for the country but I am not falling for the lie Trump did it to rid the country of an evil dictator.

Trump supported Bolsarano, a bloke who is right wing and was a virtual dictator.
Ask the majority of Brazilians what they think about him. None have a good word (or so I'm led to believe by ex pat Brazilians)
This invasion and kidnap isn't about truth and justice, it's about oil and power over South American countries.

And that's why it stinks.
As an aside trump will invade Greenland because there is no one to stop him.

The peace prize President.

When has such a course of action ever made anything better and led to a good situation?

Almost always the country descends into chaos and civil war and creates unintended consequences.

All for the oil.

Greenland will be next.

The cost is sunk - they have already invested billions in ithe type of refineries that process the Venezuelan crude. Their own oil is unsuitiable hence they need it to feed their refineries
The costs of building the refineries to process heavy crude may well have been sunk, but American companies are only interested in profits. The Venezuelan oil industries a complete mess productions fell off a cliff it will take billions to get back to producing significant amounts again all at a time when oil prices are low and demands flatlined and will most probably continue to contract.

Most of the pre Ukraine expansion happened by the early 2000s, when Putin was barely in power and the Russian army was pathetically weak.

Russia became "paranoid" when NATO went all the way to Ukraine, organised a coup to overthrow a democratically elected Ukraine leader and started attacking Russian majority regions in East Ukraine

Most of the non- US bloc world have a good reason to be paranoid about the US bloc, as this week's events, or multiple previous invasions have shown.
Wow. 'Democratically elected'.
'Over thrown by Nato'

At least now I know what a Russian shill is.

There's a difference between opting to join a larger group and being unilaterally subsumed. A lone wolf joining a pack and a gazelle strolling into the midst of a pride of lions both make the group stronger, but it's a very different experience for the wolf and the gazelle.

Whilst I might disagree about the nature of NATO, I don't disagree that our actions in some other countries reflect poorly on us, are quite selective and are often contradictory.

If/when he invaded Greenland I think that’s the point the world turns on Americans. No way Denmark lets that go unchecked and if the U.K. doesn’t stand with them our leadership needs removing instantly. If any of this happens before the World Cup European teams should automatically withdraw. Im surprised those teams in whose supporters can’t go haven’t withdrawn already.

Russia has invaded or actively participated in rebellion, since 1991 to prior to the 2022 Ukraine invasion, in the following countries which it borders Georgia x4, Moldova, Ukraine x2, Tajikistan, Dagestan , Chechnya x2.

But yeah NATO expansion is about an aggressive stance to Russian passivity with its neighbours…

What do you mean no military to speak of? What Military do you think Russia used to invade Georgia and Chechnya 3 times in the 1990/2000s? The exact same equipment they are still using to invade Ukraine? Its nearly all USSR made equipment, tens of thousands of military vehicles the USSR made and Russia inherited, larger than all of europes combined in number.

Also you using the "NATO expanded east" tell me everything i need to know, do you not wonder why those former USSR nations decided to join NATO while Russia was invading nearby nations multiple times with the largest army in europe?

Has NATO ever attacked anyone first ? can't recollect them doing, isn't it a mutual defence pact.

can't bring himself to criticise Trump

I don't like Farage anyway, but is that not the most bizarre nonsequitur? Russia and China will think twice about doing what Trump has just done? Unless he means their first thought was not to do it, but their second thought is that "Great, Trump has set us a precedent".

He won't risk Greenland. Have no doubts, he'd love to. He'd also love to grab Canada, because he's a narcissistic, war-mongering, imperialist aspirant. But there's simply no political capital or pretext he can cook up to do something so audacious. The Venezuelan pretext worked because Maduro is a tyrant, and he can convince the malleable that Venezuelan drugs are decaying the US (they need to look a lot fucking closer to home) and thus don his shining armour, break international law, and get away with it. He wouldn't be able to do the same with Greenland or Canada. He'll install his pathetically weak, sycophantic envoys and try bargaining (because everything is a business deal for the ****) without escalating militarily, but that's as far as it will go. If, however, the unthinkable does happen and he tries for Greenland through aggression, then other Western powers should play fair game; invade the US, infiltrate the White House, and put a bullet through the fucker's eyes before extending the courtesy of a kidnap.
