Staggering that many don’t think that Pep, Hugo, khaldoon etc haven’t done due diligence on the player and are seemingly all alligned to spend £65m on the player and at least £120,00-150,000 a week wages?!? It’s not a £15m gamble is it?

Think the last game gave us a fright... Savinho injured and Doku not back up to speed yet leaves the wings VERY vulnerable whilst Marmoush is at AFCON. Also Ake was mooted going the other way and an injury to him would make that impossible. So we need to move on Antoine and Guehi sharpish to bolster the squad.

That's silly. It doesn't take that much intelligence to get the ball beat a man... shoot, pass or cross.

It just wasn't his game His style helped us keep control but not necessarily attack or opev up defenses.

Not really, Pep's tactics are difficult to grasp for any footballer, very few hit the ground running and many take a season or two to really function within it. His style did help us get control, however he did have the ability to open up defences but he didn't know when to stick and when to twist so he just recirculated the ball. If he could have combined the qualities he demonstrated with assists and goals he would still be operating down our left flank.

That's always been my thoughts on Jack, he understood Pep doesn't like losing possesion, but didn't understand Pep wants his players to understand the right time and position to take a risk to make something happen and when to hold and recycle possesion so always went with the second option.

Antoine should be done by now, but I think (could be wrong) we have agreed the Arsenal and Spurs games, to get better payment terms. Doesn’t help the player if that’s true. Guehi would be a transfer fee, plus a signing on fee, not insignificant. Transfer in the summer is the signing on fee only. Think we will wait until the summer, but more competition.

It’s a new low when we are writing off a player that’s not yet signed, yet defending players who to date have not yet proved themselves.

He will be a better player than he already is working with Pep and playing in this City team.

2 poor performances with his mind on a transfer to City doesn’t suddenly make him a bad player.

Said well before he was already set to sign I'd rather wait until the summer and go for Olise on the release clause. Semenyo doesn't fit City in my opinion. Just don't see how he improves us personally.

Yeah - I was pretty sure there was no such clause, but wanted to clarify in case I’d missed something!

I wonder how it would affect Semenyo and his thinking if indeed to get better payment terms that we left him there for these two other games? Not entirely sure any player would be happy with that when they are desperate to make the jump to a bigger club, Pep etc

From what I have seen and read, City want it paid over 3 years.

Bournemouth happy to wait it out until the 10th where we will be forced to pay it in one hit or miss out on the release clause and pay more
