There seems to be a fundamental disagreement between Amorim and his sporting director. It has not been made clear what that disagreement is but Amorim referenced criticism from Gary Neville and other pundits. Neville has commented on his tactics and his uses of subs. Reading between the lines, I think the disagreement relates to the playing style and tactics.

Whatever the nature of the disagreement, his statement is very strong and challenges the board to back him or sack him.

They are in the 5th spot but imo that does not reflect progress at the club but the weakness of key rivals in the league. Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle are all in disarray. I think Utd will try and smooth this over because they have no alternative.
They're both agents of ours ; this is all planned

Complete shit show. Whoever was responsible for appointing Amorin needs sacking. They chased Ashworth for months and paid £2m to get him out of Newcastle. He left after a few months as he disagreed with the Amorin appointment due to his rigid style. But instead of listening to a respected director of football, they got rid of him and put Jason Wilcox in charge.

I think he'll be sacked in the aftermath of a couple of bad results, and his statement appears to be designed to achieve this.

But you could say that about a lot of football songs. Delilah, Sunshine on Leith, Bubbles, Marching on Together, You'll Never Walk Alone...

Basket case of a club
Agree. If you ignore the last few draws they have been much better this year. They beat Newcastle on boxing day and there was minimal Amorin out chat then. They are in 6th right now and 3pts of Liverpool in 4th. That is decent for their squad.

A couple of draws to shjt teams has done for him. But look at the players. Dross.

It's not an appealing job for any manager.
