Injuries 2025/26 | Gvardiol tibia fracture (p59) Dias 4-6 weeks (p70)

Could be season over that, even if we do get Guehi. Going away to United, Spurs and Liverpool without Dias is going to be incredibly tough.
Definitely makes the League very difficult, seeing as we probably can't afford any more slip ups.

Champions League.... A couple of weeks until the next game, so we could have someone in by then possibly. Get through in the top 8, and our round of 16 1st Leg would be the 10/11th March. Going by the timeframes mentioned, Dias should be back for that - so even if we dont get anyone in, we'll have a chance of putting out a decent defence. Wouldn't rule us out in the CL, but think we really have to get at least 1 win v Bodo or Gala in order to miss the playoffs.

At this point with our pair of teacups in Ake and Stones we need two quality center halves so one is an absolute no brainer. Not securing one is the same as top brass saying- "we're good giving up the title race full stop as of this month- hoping now for top 4, giving up on CL and putting all our hopes on the FA cup as our one piece of silverware- better luck next season."
I wonder about our ffp with spending heavily last January and in the summer.

Gonzalez is fit apparently, Savinho wasn't asked about.

Rodri CB for now probably
I'd be surprised if we see Gonzalez and Rodri on the pitch together at the moment. Think Pep will try to rest one, use the other.

Obviously means running Bernardo even further into the ground though...

Alarming to keep Stones and Ake on the payroll last summer for another season. If Pep has no idea when Stones will be able to return that almost seems like the medical team have thrown their hands up trying to work out if he will ever play for City again. Both need to be gone when this season is over. Looks like we'll have to go full in on Guehi and pay him and Palace a hefty premium to move in January.

Surely £20 mill is enough seeing as it was £35 mill last summer.
