Injuries 2025/26 | Rodri back in “partial” training

Which is all well and good, but it's surely the only economy on the planet where we are paying for something with no actual return.....well apart from being married of course
We’re paying him less than we normally would and opened up a squad space.

It’s the issue of big wages in the PL. if no other PL club wants an offload, those players need subsidising to go abroad.

Tell them to find new clubs, that they won't play this season and let them go on free transfers or for minimal fees. Just get their wages off the books.
Who will pay Stones for example what City are paying him. Nobody, same to lesser extent with Ake. Get serious

I'm still struggling to see why our physio allowed Josko to walk off the pitch - supported by him and Reece James rather than have him stretchered off. Walking on a fractured tibia and the extra damage that could do. James helped him off the pitch and I saw it as genuine concern - albeit he's not known for holding back in the tackle.

Especially as Sam Lee said on his podcast that he heard Josko say it made a snapping noise.

What planet are you on ?
Grealish, Akanji, Cancelo, Joe Hart...all under contract and told to pack their bags and move on because Pep didn't want them any more. These deals get done all the time so stop making it sound like it doesn't happen. Every club does it...look at the Rags with Rashford, Hoijland, Onana and Sancho. You loan them out or sell them cheap. Stones didn't even think he'd be at City this season if you look back at his pre-season interview.

Believe he had flu/cold so got a lift back to hotel in an ambulance from training for some reason (it is Afcon). No injury as such.

Correct he played 70 mins yesterday, unfortunately for us Algeria won!!
It's not bad. He gets more match practice and if they have a good tournament, it will overall boost his confidence

Not even bothered about the Savinho one, but takes the piss how often and easily our players get injured

Yea and it doesn’t take much insight to know this was going to happen. Dias in recent seasons has had 2 / 3 muscle injuries a season keeping him out 4-6 weeks a time. Ake & Stones, whilst brilliant servants have had a whole City career full of injuries and last couple of years they can’t stay fit at all. Gvardiol is unfortunate but you always have to be able to legislate for that which we would have done if we’d have addressed the issue in the summer by getting a senior centre half in. Unfortunately, last January we went and got 2 centre half’s for the future for a lot of money who Pep only trusts or plays when he has no other choice.

None of those players you mention take up root on the treatment table. That’s my point
