Exeter City (H) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

The most fun I’ve had watching a match in a long time. Stand out performances from Semenyo, Lewis and Reijnders. Really good from all the academy players today too especially Mcaidoo. Most importantly some good rest for a lot of players.
That's the best thing for me, not like we played the first XI. I was surprised Haaland even started, even more surprised when Silva and Doku came on.

Nobody can complain about anything today! Great to see the youngsters performing well, nobody looked out of place. Some nice goals out there today including the one we conceded.

It was pleasing to see us keep going and pushing for more goals. No one had a poor game, very assured debut from Semenyo especially when you consider his late meet up with the team. Very impressed with McAidoo, tricky and quick.

The centre back pairing looked strong and useful, yes there is a great difference in league placing a bit you still have to perform and we haven't always done that.

Well done City. Good support for Exeter, it's a fair old distance to travel in this weather.

Too young to remember the 10-1 against Huddersfield? That was an amazing day.
Actually think that was a better match although I only saw the TV highlights. Best thing about that was at half time the commentary team said "They couldn't get double figures could they?". Although it was recorded so they might have put that in after knowing the result.

Just in case at first glance you thought it was 1-1!
Funny thing is I remember when the final scores came on TV after the Huddersfield match, I was in the works canteen and everybody was taking the piss, thought is was a misprint and should have read 1-1 or 0-1 until the announcer got to our match, read out the score, then said "I'll just repeat that...."

Nobody was taking the piss after that.

RAN would be have been a great sub for an exhausted NOR against Chelsea. But keep on with how bad he is.
Unfortunately for you I base my views on watching him rather than speculating what he might be able to do,
Based on what I have watched he's Mendy Mark 2. Might be good going forward but gets caught upfield and cannot get back. He is not a full-back

Sky Sports bang on with the ‘facts’ again…

Watching soccer Saturday, they couldn’t even be arsed to send a reporter to cover it, yet sent ones for Orient v Cardiff in Div 1. Can you see them ever not bothering to cover a Rags or Dippers game. Even had to mention it was Rodri’s 1st goal since 2024 without any mention that he had hardly played.
