It's amazing how many people still think President Becontree* is wonderful.

I think they long for a powerful, arbitrary ruler who will just do stuff, without seeking authority or bothering about trifles like the law. Of course, this only applies if he does things they agree with. If he were to close all Wetherspoons pubs, for example, or ban tinned lager, they would be outraged. They're too thick to understand that a leader with arbitrary power will eventually do things you don't like, and there won't then be anything you can do about it.

The same cretins call Starmer 'a dictator' for doing stuff they dislike, even though he does it legally!

*Becontree - two stops beyond Barking.

If he was remotely interested in (or aware of) the rule of minimum force that’s exactly what he should have done i.e. move

The fact that there was “another way to prevent the danger” meaning that opening fire wasn’t necessary, makes him a murderer..

He engineered a situation where he could get away with murder. He 100% wanted that to happen.

How have we got to a place where some people are so polarised and fixated on point scoring for their “side” that they have lost empathy and objectivity to a point where they can’t even watch a video of a young woman being killed and call a spade a spade. Murder is now not even a step too far…

What fucking world are we living in.

Remember when he said he could step out onto Fifth Ave in NYC, shoot someone, and get away with it?

ICE is just his paramilitary extension of his Dictatorship. Look at the DHS tweet. It basically says, “If you interfere with us, or lay a glove on us, now you’ve seen what’s going to happen…we are going to kill you!”

That’s all it could mean, as the LAWFUL thing to do with the lady they killed would have been to arrest her for whatever charge, put her in front of a judge, let her defend her actions against whatever actions she was accused of, and accept the consequences of a lawful jury or judgement…NOT DIE IN A HAIL OF BULLETS, IN THE STREET, IN FRONT OF YOUR WIFE AND COMMUNITY!

We are being slow (fast?) rolled into a situation where seeing masked, camouflaged paramilitaries exiting unmarked vehicles and executing people in the streets, or taking down people without warrants or just cause, just suspicions, is becoming “normal”…Constitution be damned!

As someone else said, to some it feels good, because it’s “their side” doing it, but what if that changes? What then?

I’ve posted it before, but we need to speak up, act up, lawyer up, and politicians need to wake the fuck up, or we will soon be living “….and then they came for me.”

I’m not going to go that far, even though he’s doing his best imitation, but by now, the world should have realized you have to stand up to bullies, even if it causes near term pain!

It’s likely to be true though. Venezuela’s oil (and wider) infrastructure is fucked, and the price of oil is low atm and likely to remain so for some time.

They can afford to wait tbf!
