Seat Counters 25/26

Not sure why the ticket exchange doesn’t work for cup games, you can’t even donate the ticket. And they’ve made it harder to transfer tickets as well. Not everyone on the cup scheme who couldn’t make the game is a points whore!

There is a lot illness going about too.

Peole with spares that were not going to be unused could have offered them on this Forum’s ticket page. Each to their own.

One other possible issue is the fans were knackered from 3 games in 6 days. I got in last night, shattered, after taking pain killers to make sure I got to the 3 matches.

I don't know, I'm on the cup scheme so get one anyway, so don't ever go on the site to buy them, and as I wasn't there I could only see what looked like very few seats to me on TV.

I phoned the club yesterday and told them I couldn't go, and offered them my ticket to sell, but they can't do that, and if they take the ticket back, you get scrubbed from the cup scheme.
Me and the mrs couldnt go either as i had an hospital appointment. Because of the stupid transfer rules i couldnt transfer our tickets to a mate. Phoned on Monday to see if they could do the transfer as a one off but no joy. Emailed instead and still waiting for a reply. Bit late now and ended up with 2 empty seats in our row. Without the new rules those seats would have been taken.(we too are on all the cup schemes)

Regarding ticket transfers, most Blues on the face value forums / pages realised they could access cheaper tickets if they got the match day memberships. Cheaper tickets this year on these sites meant people were getting their match day membership fees back within 2 or 3 games.

Maybe the points shouldn't be allocated if the ticket isn't used?
That’s probably how points should be awarded. At the end of each season the supporter gets the points for the total number of games attended (used) in one hit.

I’d also look at awarding more points for the “lesser” games. Another idea is to run a seat raffle to win a decent prize (£1000 worth minimum) at 85 minutes. If you’re not inside the stadium to claim it you lose out.

Conclusive proof that there weren’t vast rows of empty seats in the North Stand.

I don't remember any big holes either. The original poster who made this claim must have looked around Kick Off, half-time or full-time

The tickets were ridiculously cheap and in the grand scheme of things, only a portion of the overall cost when the you add the car park/travel/food and drink expenses.etc

However the fault doesn't lie with the non attendees so much as a system that guarantees cup scheme members a Wembley ticket (an attractive incentive when we've reached 6 of the last 15 finals)

If you can afford £800+ for a Seasoncard then £10 is hardly going to burn a hole in your finances

We can't have it both ways and we were all happy when the SOLD OUT appeared on Friday

Or been manipulated by the fake media. The stadium was very full for most of the match. Well over 50,000 on a freezing day. Full of happy smiling faces. It will be one of the biggest attendances of the third round.

Some people are just completely in denial. There were hundreds of empty seats throughout the game in the bottom tier of the North Stand. Plenty in the top tier also. This for a game that was sold out.

One row alone is completely empty.

The actual conclusive proof.IMG_4117.jpeg

I'm not sure how fake media conjured up an image of a row of about ten empty seats and lots of empties in CB2 when I saw them with my own two eyes from my seat in the ground.
No problem with the actual attendance, it was excellent, but there were plenty of unsold tickets (from wherever) or non-attendees.

That was very early in the second half and beer is more important to some fans.

A perfect example of the monumental fuck up the club have made re tickets.

Heres a family of 4, who wanted to add to their season tickets as more kids came along but it wasnt possible.
So instead they went else where.

Now imagine they got 4 tickets for city, the kids would be city fans forever, instead they are Brighton fans. I mean, what a fuckin cock up.

Ill be forever grateful to the sheik for making my dreams come unexpectedly true, but the men hes put charge have turned us into everything we hated.

And people wonder why fans are walking away.

What a shame
We had two tickets in the East stand level 2 for years, before that we were in level 3 (ES).

We were there when Sergio scored his goal and stayed the following season.... after that the prices escalated massively and along with the cost of travelling up from South Wales (normally involving and overnight) it became unrealistic to hold on to them. We thought we would get tickets on an ad-hoc basis but even that has become unrealistic and very difficult so now we don't bother.... which is very sad, very sad indeed.

I have a pretty good record of watching City from March 1971 (my first home game). This was a time when City were a family friendly club. Sadly, times and City have changed and now not only are prices extortionate but the process of getting tickets have made it far too difficult to even attempt to try. I would love (and have through third party sellers) to attend the odd game on a whim so to speak but the club have admittedly through external pressures and market forces quite literally put a stop to all that. Like I say very sad.... but still a blue through a nd through.

My proudest moment was getting invited into the marble arches at Highbury by Joe Mercer and meeting the team in 1971 (got a full autograph book).... the best bit was when Bertie Mee came up and asked who I was and would I like to come into the Arsenal Dressing room and meet the players.... at 10 year old I turned round and said "no thank you, I'm here to see Manchester city"

There really are memories I will treasure until my last breath, but sadly City (like every other football club) are no longer that club.

In defence of them what City are doing in the community and developing East Manchester is pioneering and absolutely fantastic for the community.

Back on topic, I would have loved to have been able to pitch up and buy a ticket yesterday or V Brighton but I'm afraid it's just too much hassel these days.
