Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

I am absolutely convinced that if Nigel Farage seriously thought he was going to be PM he’d fill his nappy.
It’s a familiar refrain. It was the same from many quarters with Johnson when he was PM. ‘He doesn’t really want the job, he’ll resign after a couple of years’ - and yet the **** had to be dragged kicking and screaming from the job.

Of course Farage would take a shot at power if it was offered to him. He will find the notion of the status and opportunity for enrichment it would provide intoxicating.

Ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

...you walk round any city center and the amount off people that are homeless struggling to keep there heads above water not knowing literally where there next meal is coming from, then you see on media streams of people coming here living in luxury compared to them and most on the streets are British born ...
Who are these people living in luxury (even in comparison to the homeless)? Are you sure you weren't watching the Four Yorkshiremen sketch?

What i do actually think will happen the torys and reform will strike up a deal ,because like you say reform do have great sound bytes can they carry them through i do actually doubt that ,could they be sterred into more achievable policies, then I think the answer to that is yes.
If labour want to change this there is still time but they have to start listening to what people want.
Time will tell, but at this moment in time I can only see a tory and reform coalition at present
I'm not a great fan of this current Labour government but it's many times better than any tory /reform coalition would be. I don't care whether people want change or not any vote for racist Trump wannabees has to be owned for exactly what it is and what it makes you, responsible for the future it brings. Sometimes you have to put up with mediocre government because the alternative is worse, this is that time.

It might help if we started showing a bit of empathy to those who feel this way instead of mocking.
Don't get me wrong, we've a few on here who deserve it but that particular poster seems like they are genuinely struggling to find the right path.

You really want me to answer that pal seriously?

Absolutely. Who did you have in mind? I was hoping you hadn't fallen for the idea that a refugee in what Britannia hotels might have called "four star" was living in luxury.
As I said on a previous post ,it's a dam site more luxury than living on the streets ,I don't really have to explain myself it's just what I see and so do lots of others.

And it doesn't really help when you get a hotel refusing homeless people a bed when they had been paid for ,but anyway

Having been involved in setting up a night shelter, perhaps I know more than most about the problems. There were council officers opposed as "it would encourage people to be homeless". The severe winter provisions (to get everyone off the streets in freezing weather) were basic (a camp bed in a damp cellar in some cases) but of course it's better than sleeping rough. A lot of hotels were used during the pandemic (for separate rooms rather than dorms), and some of the hoteliers treated their new guests as if they were paying customers, but nice hotels commandeered for asylum seekers and run by Serco with very basic meals are not "luxury". Empathy runs in lots of ways.

The frauds of society, who always seem to be Tory or Reform. who have found a way to monetise the people who would vote against themselves.

An old colleague, the perfect example. Ex-Labour voter, votes Brexit and then turns to Johnson. 15 years of underinvestment, multiple fuck ups from the Tories, but now moved to Reform.

And why, because Brexit wasn’t implemented how he thought, Corbyn didn’t do enough, Johnson did his best, and Starmer is a boring **** (my take from out chats: Labour haven’t squared all the previous ills after 18 months).

And that’s why we are where we are, as people blame others for their choices as they don’t want to accept that they could’ve got it wrong.

You can't say that. You need empathy. They'll come to realise the foolishness of their ways if you don't tell them they're wrong.

I watched Martin Daubney on GB News last night arguing that the Govt should not really take action against Musk and his perverted AI tool on the basis that it might upset him and Trump an threaten a possible Tech Agreement between the two countries. Is that the only moral compass that GB News employs.. a deal.? God help us if they do get into Govt.

It's constant rage bait to the hard of thinking.
