Seat Counters 25/26

Wasn't he Tueart's best man or the other way round before that game or have I just made that up?
The recipient of Dennis' nut was George Potter, a 7ft tall thug of a centre half. Dennis actually had to get quite a way off the ground to achieve contact! Potter was next seen on Granada Reports in Salford Royal. Happy days. Don't think he was invited to his wedding.

He did, especially if my memory is correct & Dennis was actually prone on the pitch after another clumsy challenge from Potter. Dennis was like a salmon!!!

Totally disagree about German Railways. They are not as good as they used to be but they are light years better than the UK in every area. Their local, regional, and ICE trains are all better than here for rolling stock. The bigger stations stay open all night with plenty of food and drink. Multiple cities have great U-bahn and -Bahn services.
I know it’s not the thread for this, but only Romania has worse performing railways in Europe. To the extent that neighbouring countries have had complaint motions in the European Parliament.

Punctuality is now down below 60% and DB is pushing towards €35bn of debt. In fact Germany is the only country in Europe that has less miles of track today than it did at the turn of the century.

It’s a shame we can’t price children’s tickets cheaper for PL games. Maybe 12 and under for cheaper than 13-18? Because many people only being able to afford a few games a season doesn’t seem enough.
There has been some improvements on that recently. Brighton was £18 and Wolves is £21.50 for a junior in the Family Stand. Not saying I'd have any problem with them going even cheaper. But not so long ago, it seemed like it was around £40 every time I looked, which is just ridiculous for a youngster.

What’s all this about?
According to Google translate:
From January 21st, the new price for the stands behind the goal will be €449.
Luxury bus, comfortable, with guide and organization support.
Match ticket included.

It's a coach trip to the game from Germany starting in Cologne and picking up in Aarchen, Brussels, Calais and London?
It looks like the higher price is in some sort of VIP zone.
Can't see it being official from either club unless very few are travelling from Turkey. That clown who runs security will be a busy little fucker on the night.

We're virtually guaranteed 9 home cup matches and depending on progress in the CL and FA Cup it could easily extend to 10 or 11.

On the plus side, this could be the first season when our gross attendance exceeds the figure at Old Trafford

The flip side is that we now face three home cup ties in such a short space of time and it speaks volumes when the attendance for Salford/Swindon will probably exceed a CL game and a Carabao Cup Semi Final

The club is admirably investing in it's future support by keeping its F A Cup prices ridiculously cheap and allowing so many school kids and young families to attend
In comparison United have only had one home cup match and charged £53

The Galatasaray fixture brings particular issues and by restricting ticket sales the club are taking a hit on all those neutrals and casual supporters who might normally boost the attendance

However it's the Newcastle 2nd Leg that could prove to be embarrassing, especially if the club farts around with such a convoluted sales process

I paid £20 last night and it should be the same for the second leg.
Tickets should also go on open sale at the earliest opportunity

Tickets are on sale. 30 to 50 quid. There will be huge giveaway in the week of the game.

I agree with all that sentiment 100% but will just point out that if we finish top eight in CL (which at the moment is looking reasonably promising) we won’t have three home cup ties in quick succession.
The home leg of the CL round of 16 would be on 17/18 March, over a month after the Salford/Swindon and Newcastle games. If all goes to plan, we’ll have already played an FA Cup fifth round tie and be getting ready for the Carabao final then.

I was meaning Galatasaray/Newcastle SF/Swindon or Salford mate, but you're right about the next potential glut

By "virtually guaranteed" I was meaning the.CL Last 16 or a play off, but I should have been clearer.

Fair enough. Can’t be denied that there’s the potential for plenty of home cup games still to come this season. If they’re going to have expensive CL tickets as I’d expect, really need to keep the FA Cup as cheap as possible

It should be £20, but additionally, the whole sales process could be slicker and easier for an occasional fan/neutral to navigate

I've got an Evertonian mate who regularly sits in the away end when Everton play at the Etihad, but also sat with me when Messi or Pep's Bayern Munich were in town for the CL etc

Ironically I'll be able to get him a ticket for the FA Cup game when City don't need him and he won't be interested.

Obviously it's a different story for Galatasaray, and I haven't the faintest idea whether he can just rock-up and buy a Newcastle ticket without having to subscribe/register

Perhaps he can, in which case, City's communication needs to be clearer and more transparent as I suspect that he's not the only neutral who might be interested

Of course there are no shows, but are you telling me that 3 rows of fans/ 5 seats per row for example (you can’t usually buy that many tickets) all decided not to show up - that’s after paying what over £100 for tickets?

There were areas like this throughout the ground. It’s not just people not showing up.
Like he said, it would either be schools who couldn't make it or some of our junior teams.

I have a slight feeling of dread about it. They will overestimate demand, make life difficult for too long and we won't sell out. It would be nice to see the Flapjack Method v Algortithm head to head battle though.
should just do season ticket holders on the league cup scheme on one day - there can't be any more that 15k who are?
then season ticket holders not on league cup scheme broken down 15k, 10k, 5k on the next day
then members with previous purchase history in the league cup
