Riiiight Lescott had just explained why it was offside. Made sense.
But where was the 5cm rule for us?
And it would seem the VAR guys didn't know the rules on where to draw the lines.

The ref and Var didn't apply the correct rule and as a result gave the wrong explanation. Lescott called it staight away after the game.
I look forward to the pgmol explanation on this. You need to be behind 2 players to be onside.

Offside because you measure it from Pope who is the 2nd player and not the defender. Whether that defender could get to the ball is irrelevent because Haaland is clearly preventing him from making the attempt. How long that decision took is ridiculous though.
