That is an incredibly strong starting 11 plus 6 substitutes that we can field with an average age of 23.4 years old.

The team we started with tonight that just fairly comfortably knocked aside Newcastle away from home had an average age of 24.6 years old.

If this team really starts to click into gear and win things then the rest of the league could be in serious trouble for a decade to come.

Great result. So pleased for our young centre backs.

Unpopular opinion but Haaland was offside because he was ahead of the keeper, not by much mind you. It’s an odd one because we don’t see it often but the line should be drawn on Pope’s foot as he is the penultimate defender not Thiaw. The only decision they needed to make was if Haaland interfered with play. That is subjective.

Ignoring the VAR shambles for a minute.....

I thought Newcastle's problem was that they were too wound up, too frantic, and therefore didn't have any element of control.

Whereas we were the opposite and handled the whole 90mins well. Bernardo, love the bloke, and he was absolutely loving winding up the fuckers. They fell for it every time.

Semenyo looks the real deal, O'Reilly looks the part in the midfield and young Max.......well done kid.
Lovely to see, isn’t it - remember where we would shit ourselves at Goodison Park every time it got hostile and Leon Osman or Tim Cahill would score the inevitable winner. But we’re a different gravy now though.

No need for the insults is there dickhead!

Show me this majestic space creating move, I saw a striker stood in the box, with defenders stood in the box, you know like every other fucking game of football. In your mind those 2 Newcastle CB"s may have been on the fruity in the pub if it wasnt for the cunning positioning of Haaland right bang in the middle of the penalty area.

Whose the fool?

Off you pop.
Love Haaland but he's looked laboured the last few games.
He's had spells like this before as have all the very best in the world.
He's too important to drop though, if fit on Saturday he 100% starts and I'd be confident of a similar percentage that he scores.

Solid performance at a really hard place to go...having said that Im suprised at how poor Newcastle were - thought they would give it more of a go.

the two young lads at centre half were very good

NOR in midfield was very good and loved the fact that he stood up to Joellinton....even funnier that the supposed hardman turned his attention to Nunes when he came into the picture cause he shit himself up against a 20 year old kid!

Semenyo first half was poor....second half much better and he took his goal well - very Sterling esque a the back post - looks a bit too languid at times but he has played a lot of games in the last few weeks.

Doku was brilliant all night.

We looked so much better when Rodri came on......his sheer presence seems to give us a lift....

Bernardo - excellent - i dont get the criticism of him even over the last few weeks....he just never ever stops running, and affecting the game

The concern for me at present is Haaland - he just doesnt look at the races in the last 3 or 4 games....dont know if he is carrying a knock or something but he isnt anywhere near as active/alive in the box as usual..he seems to be running on empty and isnt even running at full pace.

As for the disallowed goal..my understanding of the offside rule is that there has to eb two defendes (and the goal keeper counts as a defender) between the goal line and the ball...well the goal keeper was infront of haaland so its taken from Popes foot not the defenders...its an unusual one as the goal keeper usually the last defender but in this case he wasnt...so its a clear offside as Haaland is clearly beyond the goal keeper - how it took them so long to wok that out is beyond me....then it comes to the question whether Haaland was stopping the defender from getting to the ball - well they were wrestling with each other so he clearly was

BUT that is the obserdity in the rule.....surely a player should be able to stop a defender from playing the ball ina 50-50 battle....of course you cant stop the goal keeper from diving etc BUT stopping a defender is surely part of the physical game....

Once they bring back in that there has to be clear daylight between the last defender I personally think it will make it easier to make these calls.
But if he was wrestling him at the other corner post (or far post) he wouldn't be interfering with play. The ball only becomes active when it comes off Semenyo's leg, not from the corner. The goalkeeper is between him and the ball, he's nowhere near Semenyo, removing Haaland doesn't mean you magically get to place the defender where the ball is. It's pie in the sky to think the defender stops the goal otherwise.

Please ask for the Var audio City and an explanation on that 5cm rule the Dippers received. You can tell the players and Pep are sick of the corruption. Time to demand answers.
Note the couple of late yellows to them also to paddle the stats to make it look like even officiating

My problem with the disallowed goal is that Haaland is not interfering. If he does, the ball is prevented from going into the net. It goes next to him and neither him, Botman or Pope can do anything about it. Fucking joke.

They are digging every little thing out trying not to give it, BECAUSE it's a Manchester City goal
If it was United Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea it doesn't even go to VAR

Look, it's time to demand the Verdict on the 115 then Manchester City can start calling the shots and stop this cheating by the whole setup so bent on stopping City because we are cheaters

No answer thought so.

But but but

Haha

He had a shit game, it happens, only the lobotomised clapper would say otherwise.

Takes 2 or 3.out of the game, so funny.
Wow you're clearly wound up haha I fucking love it.

Diddums baby.

He wasn't shit, he wasn't good either but he still put a shift in defending and holding it up. Marked by two Newcastle players every time the ball went near him. Watch the fucking game it's not just about scoring goals ffs.

I kid you not, the sports news on bbc northwest,

Lead story, Rags appointing Carthorse az interim (big deal).

Second story and this is the graphic, (check out the time).

As Alan Partrjdge said, there are a lot of bitter basrards at the BBC
Just seen that - if VAR can't get us, BBC can!

Pep's got the cunts replaying bad decisions on Sky.

Fucking well done. Let's highlight the shite decisions. Dan Burn looks awkward as fuck the poor sod
He didn’t disagree with what Pep was referencing either
