Guehi is a ball playing centreback, the epitome of a Pep defender, why wouldnt Guehi slot straight in
That's pretty unlikely and I bet the majority of clubs would still take him on a free transferGuehi is taking a risk seeing out his deal instead of securing a transfer now. Fckng up his knee at Palace this spring and nobody wants him in the summer.
I just dont see how he wouldnt settle in straight away, Duas who is a totally different type of defender sertled straight away.Because tons of players seem to take a season or so getting used to what Pep wants and while Palace are a decent side, Glasner doesn't have them dominating possession regularly.
Not saying he's not capable of picking it up, just saying that there's no guarantee he'll get it immediately and not cause any issues.
Akanji signed in august 22Akanji is probably the closest example as he signed in January 22 & hed did more than ok.
There are a lot of people here and elsewhere that would start Max and Kush even if everyone is healthy. Feels like a real split from the fan base on which pair is favored. How confident are u mate? You know of any potential back ups?
I agree we can't risk going with two youngsters it would be madness.
Im not arguing over what "you think we are doing." Im putting forth an argument about what "we should be doing" and how not being stressed over Guehi is in line with that vision.
That said, i don't remember any summer links to Guehi. He was headed to Liverpool and many thought we should have jumped in at that price. Myself included. But the landscape changed his Liverpool deal fell through and we saw a January opportunity... Then Max came in and showed promise and there is the promise Reis is showing in Spain... All things considered, in my view a loaner will be the best decision.
Again, loans are not the norm. But they can happen.
You have a very good point. Strangely though I wouldn’t be hugely disappointed if we miss out. I suppose he has never stood out for me the few times I have seen him. Still a great deal if it happens. This place is a bit weird sometimes. Fantastic young player, current England international, seems like a great lad, excellent defender, quick, great on the ball, available at a knock down price due to his contract situation, plays in a position that needs strengthening. Would be an incredible signing if we can pull it off. Yet City fans are on here advocating for us not to sign him, because a youngster has had a couple of decent games. You've got to laugh.
Alleyne's had probably 4 years of training and playing with City, so knows what's wanted even if he hasn't played at the top level. The questions for him are maybe more if he can cope physically, cope withe extra pace and if his concentration levels are up to it. So far he's managed well, and seems ideal for us.I just dont see how he wouldnt settle in straight away, Duas who is a totally different type of defender sertled straight away.
Although Alleyne has come from the academy, he's been out on loan at Watford & I'd be surprised if they play in a similar fashion.
Akanji is probably the closest example as he signed in January 22 & hed did more than ok.
We signed Gundo when he had one kneecap.Guehi is taking a risk seeing out his deal instead of securing a transfer now. Fckng up his knee at Palace this spring and nobody wants him in the summer.
We've had plenty of "just pay whatever it takes" and "if he doesn't decide by 5pm today then he's had long enough and we should walk away" though.Disappointing no one has said “time to shit or get off the pot” yet.
Transfer forum’s gone.
No one seems to care whether he’s prepared to pack his bags yet either. We've had plenty of "just pay whatever it takes" and "if he doesn't decide by 5pm today then he's had long enough and we should walk away" though.
Wow - I give up Guehi international player club captain FA cup winner vs a young lad who has played 1 PL gameAnd if we get Guehi and he cost us the error How do we square that?
Links to targeting Guehi in the upcoming summer - it has been referenced repeatedly when giving you a timeline of actual information, not your selective opinion. This really is quite tiresome as you are building up a pretence of logical deduction while ignoring what is actually being reported.
As I said, this tiresome, so feel free to go nuts on how you think we should be doing x, while ignoring the information we actually have.
The point im making is an error could happen to anyone. I remember peak Kompany making one of the worst errors ever for a goal. Doesn't making any less peak.Wow - I give up Guehi international player club captain FA cup winner vs a young lad who has played 1 PL game
You tell me who is more likely to make an error in the last 16 of Champions league
