He has impressed but you have to laugh at football fans. One of the best in the league. Sorry not having that at all. Reminds me of my United mate who still tells me their players are world class. In November he was telling De Ligt has been the best premier league CB this year. Fans go ridiculously OTT.
 
Lads, I'm no rag or dipper, I'm a Man City fan like yourselves. You should take care of this fanbase, not attack them. Otherwise people will leave. But I'm guessing you lot don't care too much about that?

That's not exactly what those numbers mean. It's a percentage comparison with other players in that position. So he's in the top 4% of centre backs for the amount of blocks he makes per game not that he has a 96% block success rate. Which would be absolutely insane haha

His aerial win percentage is actually pretty average

Having watched him, a 96% block rate wouldn't have surprised me!

He is great on the ground, his pass completion is high, his positioning is good and he is a unit, competing well in the air. If he comes in, it would be no surprise to me if he is a great success.

I guess rags & dipper affiliated posters get criticism because when posting they are usually obviously unable to hide their snide bias.
Unfortunately there are other posters on here that continually criticise the club; management; players & Pep. That equally snide negativity becomes irritatingly exhausting - so strong sensible blues just feel like telling them to p*** off.

Suppose you can understand that?

FWIW - when he played against Plymouth all I remember was him dominating in the air which was their main way of getting up the pitch.

It was like he hardly had to jump. And that was against a forward who, presumably/ignorantly I assume, is a typical EFL striker who is good and physical in the air.

Have a look at my posts and please tell me which of them are "rags & dipper affiliated posts". Hint: none. If I was a rag or dipper, I would have just put that team as the team I support in my profile. I don't because I'm a City fan – just like you.

I can barely use the forum now anyways since the page just keeps spinning, so I guess I'm already "punished". Fabulous way of taking care of what's supposed to be "your own".
