I just think we've boxed him off and as it stands Forest are not getting Europe and there's that rumour of a release clause in his contract if Forest don't qualify for Europe. I don't see any other team challenging for him, rags will put it out to media that they want him but they don't stand a chance, if we really want him.

Agree, but still worry about Forest after the MGW talk. That was all agreed according to some but we have ended up so much better off having Cherki here.

I'll sound abit silly saying this but I think if Kovacic and Bernardo leave in the summer I think Anderson and Gibbs White will be the replacements. Normally when we have strong interest in a player we go back in for them in a future transfer window.

I just think we really like both Gibbs White and Anderson.

Yes. The most impressive thing that Viana has done is fixing the future HG situation that were starting to look like a worry by simply just going out and signing the best available HG players on the market. Leaves us with more wiggle room than expected

Seems good on Anderson for the summer, so 3 much needed additions. The only downside of Guehi is that we realistically have to say bye to one of Alleyne or Reis.

It's said we can only register three new players for the CL in January - but Semenyo fills a vacant AT vacant place and Guehi would occupy another if one of Ake or Bettinelli or Stones are left out. Room for two more then if I am correctly understanding that the 3 new player rule relates to the complete 25 man squad. Anybody confirm?

Not sure if people remember it wrongly or if there has been information that has passed me by recently, but I am pretty sure what was said of the MGW transfer was that we have a great relationship with Forest and their leadership were fine with him going to us because of our status as title candidate. We simply decided against signing him after doing a lot of ground work because we opted for Reijnders and Cherki instead. We still maintained a good relationship with Forest working out favorable deals for McAtee and almost Lewis. MGW might have been disapointed with us, Forest reportedly liked dealing with us.

Where the fat greek started being a nuisance was when he was pissed about MGW wanting what he thought was a sideways move to Spurs which he seemingly decided was not part of the deal where MGW could move to a bigger club

That’s why I said potentially about Lewis. I’m not too sure what will happen this summer with him. In all honesty I think he needs to leave and play regularly for someone, but if he wants to stay that’s good for us. We’ll see.
