Honestly I just didn't think it was happening but he was my preferred signing.

Can play LB, LCB, RCB and RB because of his 2 footedness.

He isnt a perfect player, I think ground duels and aerial duels is a slight weakness.

But he is english, good PL experience, has excellent passing in build up and filling multiple positions is better for us than a player like Schlotterbeck who I think is a better pure LCB, but that's the only position he can play.

I'm not sure he'll be playing anything other than centre-back, although maybe in an emergency he could play elsewhere.

Below could be incorrect, it doesn't quite add up to his 154 Palace appearances, so who knows.

People being offended because he wrote ‘I love Jesus’ on a bit of rainbow coloured material.

Quite comical.

Presumably people will be further outraged if he chooses to use ‘Marc-Israel’ as his Christian name rather than just Marc.

Presumably it’s just as comical that he couldn’t wear a bit of rainbow coloured material without feeling the need to write something else on it then?

Homophobia. Give over. This is the exact reason football players should not be used as political pawns. Guehi is very religious man. To be put in that position wasn’t fair.

Whether you agree or not with his stance it doesn’t matter. There are many many Muslim players, Christian players etc who will share that belief. My point is football should not be used to promote any subject that isn’t related to the game.

And for the record I have no issue with gay people but I respect Guehi’s stance. Doesn’t mean I agree with it. And just looking into it further he promoted a message saying Jesus loves you. How is that homophobia ffs?

I mean, scrawled over a rainbow flag. The implication is clear.

His dad confirmed it as well, so to say it wasn't anti-lgbtq is obtuse .

I agree. And I respect your ability to put that aside. But to make his belief public means he should be ready to be criticised for it. The fact is I don't agree with his stance nor do I respect it. There are plenty of Christians and Muslim people who don't use a misunderstanding of their own dogmatic faith to hide behind in justifying their own bigotry.

I hope this doesn't mean there is no room for Max Alleyne. He's got a lot of future potential and he's been pretty good last two games.

I'm kinda com ci com ca about Guehi whereas with Semenyo... yeh bro!

We STULL NEED A MIDFIELD enforcer though.
Him and Guehi replace Stones and Aké I can imagine
