The style of play we use does not play to the strengths of the majority - if not all - of our players yet it’s persisted with. Absolutely infuriating really.

Baring brief periods the side hasn't been set-up for the players we have for around 18 months.
Last season I put some of it down to a combination of fatigue, aging players and missing Rodri.
This season it's clear we're trying to play the same football with players unsuited to it, coupled with a change in dynamic of the other teams and it's a disaster.
Can't wait to get Gonzales back - stick him alongside Rodders and get some physicality/cover about us. Try and draw teams out rather than them letting us sleepwalk to the edge of the box recovering the ball and spanking it over the top of most of our side

Haaland was problem today. When he sulks he doesn’t get in the game. He gave the ball up easily when the ball did come to him. Pep said he’s tired, not sure how because he walks most of the time.

Bad day certainly but for the last 2 seasons we’ve been suffering from 6 various, major injuries at the same time. No manager can cope with that & they can’t all be replaced because the squad would be too big when they returned. It’s a dilemma

That has been coming for several weeks. No wins in the last 4 and any one of those could easily have been losses too.

What defenders are we getting back to make a difference to the state of us back there? The only one who isn't injury prone (Gvardiol) has the worst injury of the lot.

Our first choice full backs are makeshift. It's a mess. And no way to build a foundation for a title winning team.

Ummm.. we got a proper battering today. Played off the park really.

We were all over the place and they played like 1 unit, created more chances, had more chances to score goals while we had no midfield press. They sliced us open like a damascus knife.

We need to understand we badly need FIVE midfielders since we're not dominating the middle and I'm not convinced Rico/ Reijnders/ Foden/ Nico Gonzales are the answer.

For anyone thinking I'm overreacting.. Foden has had 5 good months in 30.. and we need more than that! Oh and we need to find a replacement for Rodri too since he's almost 30.

That's FIVE.. I say again FIVE midfielders!

I've thought our press has been too slack for ages and it was completely proven today. Their defence had so much more time on the ball than ours. Need a big shot of urgency injected into every player.
PS why did Doku not take his man on once even though he was on a yellow from early on?

For me teams now can play through a press and that’s for me has been our problem for the last 18 months! We press they play through then they have a ball down the wing to get at us so easily! I’ve said it for while and I wonder what pep would say if I asked why not those who are pressing are 20 yards further back let those defenders have the ball but next ball in to an opponent player we press from then! That means we will have more cover in midfield at the back!

we overplayed Foden, Bernie, Haaland all season. now they look tired big time and business end of the season hasnt even started yet with the high stakes games. when its Villa away if FA-cup and then Barca away in CL QF finals not Exeter and fucking shit rags in January.
