Yes I have to agree it was the manner of the defeat. From team selection, player performance and tactics it was all wrong.

The xG suggests 0 was about our level today and 0 has never won a football match. The goalie and both centre backs Khusanov and Alleyne were fine I thought but putting two relatively slow players at full back with a still recovering and relatively slow Rodri in front left them exposed to break after break. Our Academy has been brilliant but we do not seem to develop defensively minded players. For me we need 2 or 3 experienced players who can defend. Players who have 2 or 3 years left and who do not mind not playing game after game but when they do come on can close the game down.

Ake we all know legs have gone. Been a great signing but there comes a time. Rico I hate to say isn't good enough, Rico was in due to injury but can't understand why he didn't start nico instead of ake.

You have to acknowledge that they had all their best players available today. We were without 5 first team players & have had so many injuries it’s clearly affecting the team. Rags only play once a week now too.

I did think it could have been as there were plans to sub him on for Rodri later on to save his legs. But with him coming on at HT anyway, it didn't make much sense. I would have preferred Khus or Alleyne at RB
