In the second half we failed to get the ball out to Doku who was in oceans of space yet continued to knock 5 yd passes around the middle of the park. We no longer seem to have anyone who has either the vision or ability to make such a pass.
Also the amount of space that O'Reilly was giving on the flank just left us open to counter attacks. Maybe he was conscious of the shit show going on in mid-field but why didn't Pep see it

Yep and showed our weaknesses to everyone.
 
One thing I think we can say from that defeat was that Amorim a) had completely lost the rag dressing room, b) was clueless or c) both.

Maybe we (and I mean the players) were lulled into a slightly false sense of security about how crap they were expected to be.

Of course, those of us who have been around a bit longer could have seen it coming a mile off… I wasn’t surprised to lose, it had “banana skin” written all over it - it’s the manner of it that’s so disappointing. Putting in a shift is the absolute minimum requirement, and that wasn’t there today from over half the team.

the problem is this was also our worst loss this season. we lost to Brighton, Villa, Spurs, Newcastle and this game now in PL, but none of those could have been much worse than they happened. this could have been.
ad I rate those managers much higher than fucking Carrick who no doubt now will be second coming of prime Mourinho, Sir Alcohol put together in the media for days.

Small things like this show how biased this league is

However city were their own fault
I knew they'd win today as teams like this allow us all the possession they defend like fuck then counter
They've done it a few times to us and Pep never learns

All lower teams do it but they havent got the talent fir it to work so sometimes scrape a draw or often stull lose. If we score early then by a lot

But teams like Utd it works better for as theyve bought plenty of decent player's

The amount of rest they're getting may see them put for top 4 and no one will mention the rest they got. They'll keep Carrick then they'll be fucked again when having to play more games like the rest
 
We were very fortunate it was only 0-2. It could’ve been ugly big time. That’s how bad we were and how good (or up for it) they were.

Not gonna draw any conclusions out of this one but fck me we are way of winning any silverware with the inconsistency we show.

Fine to have a party when it’s about transfers, but it’s the 90 minutes on the pitch that count. And losing a derby the way we did today ain’t gonna get me a smile for a few days. Not even if we sign Guehi.

Donnarumma motm says it all. Feel sorry for Kush. He was the sole one that did what we can expect from him. And I’m not gonna blame Alleney as well. But fck me we were really poor today and again, lucky to escape by just 2 goals. Very lucky !

Your last paragraph is how I felt. Some of the pre match predictions were way off.

no issue with that tbf, having been to the swamp many a time and always stayed to the end win or lose, today was our most embarrasing defeat to them even.
surpassing the 5-0.

I completely understand why many wanted to be away
 
Just home after a pint and time to reflect.

Only plus point today was that i thought it was 3-0 til i got back to the pub.
Toothless awful display and literally no positives to take , apart from donnarumma

Was sat 2 seats away from them red cunts and dont ever let them tell you we mean nothing. Very giddy

Fair play, they smashed us. A 2-0 mauling.
