No city fan wants to stay behind while rags are taunting them. Fuck that. I would have left when that 3rd went in even though it was disallowed. There’s no way I would have left before the end and my support is bang average compared with Blues on here who’ve been going since the 60s etc. I see being a Blue like being part of a tribe and you set out your stall on Derby Day.
Each to their own but, these days, Blues who get the precious Derby Away tickets effectively get half price tickets.
If I left early I would be angry with myself that I couldn’t applaud the lads off, even after a poor performance. Instead all we could hear was the tragedy marketeers chanting, “you cheating bastards”.
Everyone is different and judging by the numbers who left it’s 50/50
What happened to supporting the team when they aren’t playing well?
I keep hearing we are at our best when the team needs us. Maybe 30 years ago, but as soon as we don’t play well or go 1-0 down we don’t get behind them
Of course if we are getting battered, I’m not expecting 90. Minutes of singing, but it’s happening when it’s 0-0 most weeks or even when we are winning

The atmosphere up until the point they scored wasn’t bad at all to be honest - better than some of our recent wins there even. United fans were loud at the start but after that we were regularly out singing them - at least that’s how it felt from the away end and I accept that United fans in the Stretford End might have a different opinion. Once their second went in, the atmosphere in our end fell off a cliff, bar a few hardy souls trying to get it going. As such United fans then had the run of the atmosphere just as we often do at our place when we turn them over.Plenty of proper blues walked out early. I left on 88. A lot of my mates left earlier. I was on a tram by the time the final whistle went, which was great and back in the Castle for 14:45.
Didn't have to deal with many of those cunts on the way and out and what's the point of risking being kept in whilst they play their nursery rhymes over the tannoy?
Atmosphere was just fine until it became abundantly clear after half time that we were getting a right royal fucking.

Even at the start of the 2nd half to an extent. But there was no improvement in the teams performance as the 2nd half carried on. In fact, it was the opposite, United got better and better, as City struggled to contain United before the inevitable goal came. After that the game was over. There was nothing remotely to cheer about.
As you know, and I know, and plenty of posters have pointed out on this thread on numerous occasions, English support is not like European and Ultra support. English support, especially away from home, when your team is not playing well and getting beat, goes quiet. Across Europe the Ultras will carry on supporting their team regardless of the scoreline, which some people find monotonous and strange.
One positive to take from yesterday. Our support was louder at OT than United’s support was at the Etihad. Crumbs of comfort.
As for having 2 genuine singing ends, which we are hopefully getting? When United took the lead, and scored the second goal. the noise, support and atmosphere around Old Toilet from ‘all 4 stands’ was impressive.
You'll never hear me defending anything ticket site related but in this instance that isn't the issue. That's the sight of the majority of our most hardened blues bailing. Striking to see how many away end tickets go to the ticket tout sites. This was supposedly with 5 mins to go^ and most of that cluster of the away end are queuing up to get out.
Sad times with ticketing at our club.

I was in the Cologne end when they lost a German Polka Cup tie at Kaiserslautern two seasons ago.
This was a huge shock and there must have been 5,000 travelling supporters who literally turned their backs on the team after the Final Whistle
The players came over, but the supporters refused to engage in any form of communication and instead there was an aggressive stand off,. with the players clearly agitated
Not better or worse than the Premier League

If people want to leave early that’s up to them. However, I stayed until the end when they twatted us 5-0 in 1994 so I was always going to stay until the end yesterday.
