Fuck me how long has it been since they beat us last? Got lads I didn’t even know were reds crawling out of the woodwork. At least Arsenal will bring them back down to Earth next week.

Bad day alright but in the long term in keeps the utter sh%t show well on the road for a while longer now at the swamp. Nothing for them will change in the long term unless there is wholesale massive changes but results like yesterday keep the the present owners in place, fergie still hanging around with one of his boys in charge and them and their pals in the media thinking they have turned another corner.

Not sure, but fair play to them the rags usually turn up against Arsenal

Pep's style is pretty unique. It needs World class player to pull it off. Sadly they're a bit thin on the ground nowadays I think we'll do pretty well against slower tempo European sides, but will struggle against the more rough arse kick and rush sides.

Pep has said he needs the best players to play his way was asked about winning he response, in so many words was “you know the secret i have top top class players” never Shied away from it!

If I'm honest, the loss of 3 points is not particularly disappointing, because I don't think that we'll be pushing arsenal all the way, anyway.

The manner of the defeat was soul-destroying, though. It's important to keep a positive mindset if we're to approach the cups with any belief, that's the real worry for me.
7 points behind serial bottlers Arsenal and you don’t think we’ll push them.

I agree re the defence and formation.Ake is a centre half he could have played Kusa at RB and OReilly left with Ake in the middle.Or the actual LB he spent millions on and OReilly in midfield instead of his pet dog Bernardo.Foden has to do more than just lay the ball off and recycle though?Pep's already letting Silva get away with that every game. Either Phil is indet instruction or he's having a bad run.Either way it won't cut it if we want to win major trophies. We've been used to KDB D Silva Gundogan Nasri YaYa and even lynchpin Rodri creating and scoring goals. The fact is we have not looked like scoring in many games recently.

You must have been watching a different team, we have created plenty of chances.

Oh the high line we’ve had soft 5/6 years that won us the treble four in a row! Knee jerk reaction here never taking context or previous seasons when we won leagues trebles! We building a team now and it will take more time that 1 season..
And in that high line we had the quickest defender the PL has ever seen.

I understand that you are pissed off with yesterday’s performance, but you have gone too far with the criticism imo.
We have seen the greatest English club sides of all time in this last decade.
This season isn’t over yet and those words could come back to haunt you.
We have the basis for another great side and praying Pep signs a new extension.

Recent or not, that's all history now.

We looked a million miles away from being a great side yesterday, and Pep just looked on cluelessly.

Mid-transition maybe, but Pep's system is tired, his insistence on a small squad, and his continued selection of 'favourites' seems to be burning some players out (as it did with KDB and Gundogan)

Our current squad looks a lot weaker than that inherited by Pep from Manuel Pellegrini.

Our current league position reflects more the poor standard of most teams in the PL this season rather than how 'well' we are playing. That was made abundantly clear yesterday when we were soundly beaten by one of the worst rag sides in memory.

I make no secret that I believe that hat Pep should have left City after winning the CL, 'job done, goodbye'. He is understandably tired and seems to be running out of ideas (or already has). He's unlikely to extend his contract at City for any reason other than money, and as such I suspect that he may go at the end of this season.

We're stale and inconsistent, and need a change. If not tactically by a revitalised Pep, then with a new coach. It doesn't matter if it's someone 'as good' or 'better' than Pep has been (that coach doesn't exist), just someone fresher than he has become.

It's time for change.

Don't think the OP will take any notice, he's clearly decided that Pep is the problem, irrespective of whatever other circumstances exist.

No point banging against a locked door.

He is the problem mate! Predictable risk-averse possession obsessed tactics, strange team selections / substitutions.

Regardless of rebuild, injuries, AFCON, etc, our current squad isn't, in my opinion, as good (or exciting) as that he inherited from Manuel Pellegrini.

We're only second because the rest of the PL sides are poor. It was the same last season.

Last season was the end for our title-winning side. Pep and City are now re-building.

KDB, Walker, Gundogan couldn't go forever. If you think they could, or that the re-build would be seamless, you are mistaken. We've done well this season to be where we are.

Didn't expect a different response from you, so not surprised or convinced.

But your stance is very clear, and has been so for some time.

I've never made a secret of it mate! It's been my firm opinion for two and a half years when we won the CL, and even before then to a lesser extent.

The thing is that a lot of City fans are starting to think the same way.

It's personal opinions.
