Don’t know any fan who wants him to go rather than accepting he’s too good to not be a number one? He was seemingly promised that and then we signed Donnarumma so he wants to leave in the summer.

He’s not, but he is an exceptional talent in his own right.

The record sale for AZ was Reijnders to Milan, €24.8m, and they’re understandably looking for more this time: @ €60m. That price automatically knocks out from the reckoning any Dutch clubs and also any intermediary clubs, such as the Milanese. However, it is also a huge amount for any other club to lay out for a prospective talent who has played neither Champions League nor full international football.

Smit is a central midfielder, box-to-box sort.

We’ve invested in Nypan, Echeverri, and Cherki within the last year, so whether we want to add Smit at this point as well remains to be seen. All for his signing, though.

I`m the grim reaper when i want a player mate so i would lose the first two in the blink of an eye for Smit! I do highly rate Echeverri though.

The club is clearly doing extremely well at identifying young players, but the inability to shift senior players, horrendous luck with injuries, and the need for more experienced cover means that we are having to call time on some young central defenders before we even appreciate how good they are.
With Bernardo leaving and possibly Kovacic, too, there may be extra capacity in central midfield. Whether Smit has the ability to move up so many levels at once is unknown, but we do know that none of those youngsters mentioned are currently playing enough high-demand football to warrant a starting berth with us in August.
 
That Morris fella at Middlesborough is some player. Superb passer of the ball through the lines.

I live in Middlesbrough and have watched him live a number of times. He could potentially play for PL team, but he's nowhere near City's level. Hackney is better, and even his limit is probably West Ham/Spurs sort of team.
