narrr bodo an ok place but you do need deep pockets,bunker museum,small fort lol,good laugh with some of the characters and the northern light show just down from piccadilly bar was mint, getting busier should be a good day, keep trying the locals i got one late last night

Got 4 mates out there attending and fair play to all the Blues whove made the tip. One for the memory bank.

Coldest City game I can recall being at was Blackburn away on Boxing Day in 95, when Batty produced his standard goal against us and the pitch was pretty much frozen iirc. Was bloody baltic that night.
 
It so happens I've been up there. But not for football. It was in August or July, about ten years back, I think. Weather was very fine indeed, beautiful cloudless skies, but there was sort of this crispness in the air that you get in the Arctic circle, even in summer. I stayed in a hotel, went for a bit of a walk around the town in the evening, can't remember anything striking about it, to be honest. Seemed anonymous. But I'd been staying in Bergen, which is a beautiful town (it's on the UNESCO world heritage list). So the comparison is an unfortunate one. Caught the ferry from Bodø to the Lofoten islands. They were superb, by the way. Strongly recommended — in summer. Henningsvaer on the Lofotens was much, much prettier, as I remember it. But Norwegians are great. I'm sure you'll have the opportunity to have a few jars both before and after the game with them. They struck me as people who can't be bothered to make a fuss, unless they've got a seriously good reason to. Then they'll make the mother of all fusses. (Horned helmets on).

Might have been a year or two later, but Boro away. Kinky played. I have never ever felt cold like that. It was vicious, bitter and probably the most miserable I’ve been at a game. Pretty sure we lost, too.
 
Just reading through the article about the 94 Bodø game on the official site, and fuck me theres a pic of the young me after the game.
I have zero recollection of the pic being taken and have no idea why I’m so cheerful after that shite performance.

Been to Norway a few times but not that far north. It’s a beautiful country and what a wonderful place to visit for a game regardless of the freezing cold temperatures.

The TNT pre-match has shown the derby game Rag goals half a dozen times , all doom and gloom ,woudnt think it was our our first defeat in 13 games ? Mr.Nice Lescott agreeing with everything he's a f*cking wall flower.
Strong team but it virtually picks itself with ten players injured and Bernardo suspended , so we need Foden and Haaland to wake up.
Spuds only got a draw here so maybe might be a tougher game than we think , a draw and win in the last two will see us qualify, then we have a few weeks to get the squad fit and firing for the knockouts.
