I thought he was better than everyone other than Khus and Donna. Compared to Phil and Erling he was fucking brilliant.
He’s far from one of the best dribblers in the squad these days, let alone the world. He's more than decent today. People all remember his running and energy, but conveniently forget he's still one of the best dribblers in the world.
He played against United on Saturday when we were also absolutely shite ! What did he do other than run around fouling and annoying people that impacted the result of the game ? We could easily have lost the Derby five or six nil. Bernardo has been great for us but as I have said many times he should be no more than a bit part player coming on as sub to kill a game or play a full game v Exeter or Salford in the FA cup He has already confirmed he is leaving and has no future with us so why has Guardiola made him captain? I do not blame Bernardo for Peps weird tactics, playing half the team out of position, e.g. Bernardo on the right wing, in many games and poor use of substitute options. These are Pep made problems not Bernardos, as is the now surely outdated tactic of recycle, pass sideways, play safe etc, that he refuses to adapt as seen in the last few games. We can't wear teams down like we used to because the 5 sub rule means other teams can stay fresher for longer and we have not gut prime KDB, Gundo, Silva, Bernardo, Rodri and even Grealish to keep the opposition at bay. Bernardo can still have a good role for us in his last few months but we've got to move on fast. For all those who were blind to the role Bernardo performs for us and want him out of the side most weeks claiming he does nothing and is finished, today was surely the enlightenment they needed.
Now you see how much ground he covers in this team as the only one actually willing to run his arse off to cover a teammate.
You should make a shortcut for this to save yourself Typing it every game ;)Ran his little bollocks off today
