Pep needs to look back at what has worked end of last season, and what elements are working this season.

A strong centre midfield partnership, players in the right spots, resting those who aren't performing.

This is my preferred line up.

Some version of this could work even with Nunes out, but I don't think it's needed as I believe Nunes should be back for this game.

Those white sleeves remind me of the time we brought Dickov back.

And in no way do they make me feel worried.

Guehi, Khus, Alleyne at the back
Two up top.
Energy throughout mid, please.
Not much to ask.

I wouldnt play RAN or Reijnders ....liabilities.
I dont think either are nailed on picks but the question is who gets in ahead of them?

O'Reilly hasnt been on it recently, Ait-nouri will at least offer us something in attack and against his former club i'd like to think he'll have extra motivation.

Reijnders I think has been our best source of goals in this dreadful run, his movement is very good and considering absolutely nobody else will offer a run in behind he gets in the side for that alone. His alternatives are Foden who has been useless and Cherki who has been far too casual and is more effective as an impact sub.

I never thought we would be so desperate for Nunes to be fit, to make a starting eleven?

How things change!

Fair play to the lad. He still has a potential brain fart in his game, but he gives us balance and composure when compared to others deputising when absent.

Nico G sorely missed as well, as Rodders just isn’t at the races at the moment.

As for the big man upfront ?
He’s not looking interested in my opinion. He owes us a decent run of playing like a beast, not a bewildered bystander. Ok , he’s out there leading the scoring charts (again) but a few scuffed penalties and close range efforts doesn’t really give a world class persona in my opinion
It’s Catch 22 with him. He needs a goal to get his mojo back, so if benched he isn’t going to get out of this rut.

Semenyo looked lost to me at the swamp. Maybe he starts as a lone striker?
Concerned his natural game isn’t going to exist the way we play?

playing reijnders and you play with 10 men fo 99% of the match

He is worse than fucking useless..at least foden and cherki as poor as they have been do try.....

Wolves look to be finally stirring, and they may well prove to be really difficult opposition at the Etihad this weekend, but, after the Bodo loss we need to respond positively, and let's hope we do !
