45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

We'd be in a hell of a lot more trouble without him.

The only person who can defend at the moment.

Am glad you are not the manager looks awkward with the ball at feet , some are saying play him right back , just cause someone is quick and can shoulder charger someone , does not make you the required standard to play for us and the worst thing is he was not as bad as the other centre half who played , rabbit in the headlights springs to mind

It’s quite astonishing that he got 25 votes as man of the match not for the first time either.

He is years away from being a top level defender.

Peps shit tactics don’t help him but he is nowhere near ready to be playing every week for us.

Cause he is quick the whole thing is embarrassing.

High line am not being harsh but please look at the first goal them cunts scored on Saturday, I know he was left short but anyone with an ounce of football knowledge knows where the ball is going and he comes back inside when it was fucking obvious where the ball was going , said on Saturday to Nick Jackson ( home and away tbf ) and Scott ( Tolmie ) on x , no response off either cause both think he is rapid , nowhere near good enough for us when the heat is on ( on the streets )

Sharpe fucked Giggs
Giggs fucked Sharpe
Sharpe and Giggs fucked Cantona

Keane fucked Butt
Butt fucked Keane

It’s simply pining for slide tackles and smashing players.

We’ve got posters asking for Nigel de Jong to come back.
Because sitting back and standing off players while they score at will is far more entertaining.

Just not if you're a fucking City fan. I shudder to think where we would be right now without Khusanov and Donnarumma.

The one thing I noticed tonight is we don't have the players who will get stuck in and take a yellow to stop a break, and we're getting battered because of it. We finally find a player that's willing to do that and you're all moaning about it.

Must agree. The more he plays the more it becomes evident he's not ready.

I know that Ederson didn’t save many but I don’t think he ever passed/kicked the ball out of play we now have some keeper who can’t pass/kick to one of are players unless he is 20/25 yards away .

No wonder he makes saves with fists we are taking shots like Ali took against Foreman it’s was bad

We invite trouble/pressure cause of him ( not tonight) oh and his shit on crosses the whole thing is wrong from the keeper can’t play out and some guy who is quick but can’t play you add to that , Haaland is getting no service ( genuinely can’t remember when he last time he missed a chance) whatsoever the whole thing is complete fuck up

So let me ask you a question. Who's been our best defender since Dias and Gvardiol got injured?

If your answer isn't Khusanov then you're talking rubbish. I don't think he's the best defender in the world but at least he's trying and certainly hasn't been poor in comparison to what's around him.

Ake, Alleyne, Rico have all been way worse. Khusanov will look brilliant alongside Guehi.

We had one player who did, and got sent off for it.

I agree though. We look like a bunch of kids playing pros. Foden and Cherki just waltzing around the pitch making half arsed attempts to win the ball before watching someone just jog past them and off into the sunset.

Where are the fucking basic standards we expect?

I don't mind a drop off in quality whilst we're bedding in new players and replacing so many club legends, but I do mind a drop off in standards. Pull your socks up and get stuck into them.

Fair comment , but he is still not good enough he is vastly overrated cause he is quick in my opinion

he defended poorly on the first goal, has to be said. basically left bruno with an easy decision, wide open runner. sure, maybe if he sticks with mbeumo bruno just sticks it bottom corner, but if you are gonna stay centrally you have to at least make a last ditch tackle on the attacker, he did neither
I’m going to prove to you it was not his fault, but good play by Fernandes running with the ball…and if you don’t believe me, maybe you will believe one of the best PL players of all time, who is now a coach and analyst…???

It’s really not a high bar comparing him to them.

I mean I don't know what this video proves other than khus didn't commit to covering mbeumo, stopped last second just as the ball was played and was caught flatfooted because of it and wasn't able to recover.. bruno's small shift to the right shouldn't have cause khus to stop in his tracks, he was too far from goal for a shot. but I don't want to argue, obviously henry knows more than me.

I would suggest saving is far more important for a keeper than passing, he's saved a good few that Ederson wouldn't have, but I do get your point.

He was fucked whatever he did. Don’t like Fernandes but there is no denying he’s an intelligent player. If he’d stayed with his man Fernandes could just run through himself. Absolute disgrace we were in that position in the first place. Khusanov had to make a split second decision.

He’s not been bad at all in recent games. Let’s judge him when Nunes is back and he’s got a decent partner this weekend. With hopefully fullbacks not nowhere to be seen as teams break through the slowest midfield you’ll see.

Looking forward to seeing him next to Guehi on Saturday. No prisoners taken by those two. Proper defenders.

I didn't say he was bad, he's been our best player since josko's injury, but on that case he could have done more even with the shit hand he was dealt, and ultimately he really did leave fernandes with the easiest option. sure maybe he could have run straight through but surely that's less bad than just leaving mbeumo 1v1 with the keeper?

Absolutely this, KHUSA IS OUR BEST DEFENDING DEFENDER, i enjoy when he fly in tackles and opponent players flying from him like shit :)

Thought he stood out like a sore thumb technically today.

1 cross field ball to put Marmoush in was excellent but every 5-20 yard pass looks scruffy. Nunes bailed him out a couple of times with some great first time passing.

The challenge on the edge of the box in the last 20mins was stupid as well.
